View Full Version : If you'd gone through door #2

If you'd gone through door #2 where do you think you'd be today?

Apparently you went through door #1 because you're here, but had you done things differently what path did you see yourself taking?

Me personally I'd probably be settled down in some meaningless marriage with a few kids who'd be teens now annoying the shit out of me. Driving a high performance station wagon trying to make it sound like it's a sports car even though I knew it wasn't with a large dog to excuse myself from the house early mornings and late evenings for a moments peace.....

Glad I took door #1.

Damn y'all sound so negative about door #2! Personally I'd probably be doing about the same as JWBL, but I think that would be a good thing! I'd probably be financially secure with a wife helping me. I wouldn't be nearly as well traveled or "worldly" lol, but that hasn't served me well. Door #1 has been fun and pleasurable, but not very rewarding beyond that, and those things are fleeting!

I'd be an attorney living in the West Village of Manhattan during the week, and spending my weekends in a second home up in the Catskills doing yoga, painting, and sculpting.

I passed up a chance to fly helicopters for the Army. I would have gone to Dessert Shield/Desert Storm and had some kind of adventure or tragedy.

A depressed feeble attempt of a man, married to a chic with kids, even though pussy turns my stomach, but it would not have "embarrassed" the family, and society would have been happy, I guess.
I never found out cuz I couldnt live a lie.

I think I took door number two and am trying to find my way back to door number one.

But if your looking for who I would be if I'd gone the other way... I think I'd either be a journalist wondering when his industry was going to fail or working a law degree in politics back east.

I'd be a partner in a systems consulting firm with a 5,000SF Colonial in Engelwood, NJ with a couple of kids in College, a Mercedes or two plus an Aston Martin or similar in the driveway and a mistress or two in each boro in NYC.

personally i think if youre here or into the subject matter presented here.... you DID walk through door #2

unless youre a closeted married guy w/ 0 experience and plan to stay that way... then you walked through door 1 and are looking through the window at door 2

It depends when door #2 appears. Let us say career selection. I had an option of architecture or mathematics. Door #1 is mathematics. So let us say I picked architecture.

Will I be that well off as I am now, perhaps not. Would I have been married? Yes, probably with 2 to 3 kids. Would I be in HA? Unlikely, since I will be a lot busier.

Door #2 may not be bad, but I still prefer door #1.

I'll sleep on it and see what other door #2 I can think of.

Tried Door #2 for a bit, didn't work out so hot....... Now I'm trying #2 until it bores me or kills me.

Honestly I'm glad I gave that other life a shot, but I wish I would have came to my senses earlier.

Career wise, I'm right where I'm gonna be

i never even thought that jwbl was talking GG vs TG i always just assumed that people like what they like and didn't make a conscious choice to try to like TGs. Saying that you looked at GGs and thought to yourself i think im gonna go ahead and try TGs for a bit is bullshit. I guess i'm trying to say sexual attraction isn't a choice its something your born with like people are born gay or born in the wrong body. I just dont see it as a door 1/2 choice unless you are in a situation where you have a ltr choice between a TG and a GG that both want you. Even then allowing your sexual preference to be dramatically life changing is pretty weak.

for the record those following my twitter page the answer to my tweet was less than 24 hours since I posted this thread...........lol

I NEVER planned on this being TG vs. GG whatsoever. It is apparent that everyone on here is in some way shape or form into transsexuals, that's a given. All I simply asked was if you'd gone through the OTHER door where would that door lead you?

Dead. Pure and Simple. I am 48. My other door would have been to transition. I still feel the pull everyday. If I would have transitioned at 21 and I would have fucked everyman that would have me. Which would have been a lot. (Cause you can always find a guy to fuck you, right girls?) And I would have got aids and died before 1990.

So I guess it is better that I did not go thru door #1. Or #2. Or whatever the hell it was. Cause I could transition now... If I only had the balls...

The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Same here, except change the Magnum for a Sequoia or equally monstrous SUV. Probably living somewhere in the Southwest, Pheonix or Vegas, like every other male in my family.

lol, you were thinking white blends in more than blue which wouldn't bring attention towards you, don't second guess your logic, it's brilliant
