Actually, neither are what REALLY does it. I'm not saying that a lack of hips aren't a dead giveaway, but there's more to it. First off, a girl's face is what really is the most important thing. If she's got a very feminine face, but not entirely as feminine of a body, it'll be looked over a lot more than if a girl has a completely curvy body and the face of a linebacker.

And, while surgery is important (depending on genetics and age of transition, hair removal, etc), hormones, plain and simple, and YEARS of them, just like any GG, are what really makes a girl pass on that, and the rest of her body. Every square inch of the body is masculized by testosterone and feminized by estrogen, subtly over the course of years and years. A girl's face, hands, arms, legs, hips, neck, back (anything you can think of, really) is affected if they are or are not on hormones, and the ones who pass the most have been on it for a long while, and usually from a young age, having the least amount of testosterone affect them as possible.

It can be normal, depending on numerous factors like amount of body fat, ethnicity, etc to not have any major lower curves (just look at the models used for clothing catalogs, most of them don't exactly have 1/2 waist/hip ratios).

I actually wonder if some of the people who get disproportionately large breasts do so thinking people will focus/stare at them instead of whatever imperfections are elsewhere from T-damage.

But I do think disproportionately large breasts can help compensate for certain things.Someone with a really big frame (shoulders bigger than their hips from years of being on T, or tall torso, etc) can get really large implants and it can create an optical illusion that effectively "scales down" the apparent-size & shape of their body.

On the tall girl, since her body (especially in the torso & shoulders area) is so much larger, it can "frame" larger breasts whereas on the tiny, short girl- there is less surface area through that part of her body so 700cc covers far more.

My 25 cents: ever watched someone walking waaay off in the distance, especially when it's dark and you can only make out a form? 9 times outta 10 you will make a judgment on whether that person is male or female! There are two things going on here, shoulder to hips ratios, and hips to waist ratio. I am making these #'s up out of thin air to try to present a picture of what I am talking about, don't take them to be "standards."

For girls the typical hourglass shape means having a closer shoulder to hips ratio (i.e. 1" in shoulder measurement for every 1" of hips measurement) & a polarized hips to waist ratio (i.e. 1" waist measurement for every 2" in hips ratio).

A girl with a typical pear shape will be like the above example, only with a smaller shoulder measurement, an example would be 1" shoulder for every 1.75" hips; 1" waist for every 2" hips.

With guys they do not have polarized waist to hips ratios except in the reverse direction (so you might see 1:1 or 5:1 for guys with beer bellies), and are kind of like an inverted pear shape (in other words, like a V) with more of a shoulder measurement per amount of hips measurement, i.e. 2" shoulder to 1" hips.


Having small hips would not make a girl have a "guy's figure"- that would depend on what her other measurements are. Someone with "tiny hips" would be someone whose other measurements are closer to her hips measurement; you might still have an hourglass shape, only instead of talking about 1 (shoulder): .5 (waist): 1 (hips) it might be 1:.75:1. The more polarized these numbers get, the bigger a girl's hips would appear to be. The more consistent they are, the smaller they'll appear to be.

Now here's where ethnicity comes in:

Some ethnicities are curvier than others (more extreme differences between shoulder, waist, and hips measurements). Say we're talking about a petite asian GG who has never given birth. That's not a very realistic statement.

Almost any male characteristic can be found in the GG population. Baldness, brow bossing, square chins, facial hair, you name it.

That doesn't change that if a GG has a full beard, not only is that incredibly abnormal statistically, but it's almost without exception a sign of a medical problem of some sort like endocrine problems, or genetic defects.

Certain male frame proportions you're simply not going to find among GG's unless it was caused by a contributing medical condition.

If you make a bell curve of any particular characteristic, chart it out, and pick one example from the most extreme end, you're not accurately reflecting the subject matter. Instead you're picking and choosing evidence to support an agenda, at the cost of the facts. Your extreme case could be the only one in existence, which would not make it safe to say that it is reflective of the entire GG population.
