I do not think most gay clubs ARE like this, not straight night clubs in NYC.

Hence at my parties why I always make it a point that everyne is welcomed. I am happy to say we have had straight men, straight women, transsexuals, transvestites, crossdressers, gay men, lesbians, - what have you and we have welcomed them all.

The club I work at is a pretty all inclusive place, almost evenly mixed crowd every night, even though it is generally considered by most to be GLBT oriented place.

We never turn anyone away, unless their drunk or violent or something, but we do have one semi-secret bar. It's where the leather crowd and the guys just looking to cruise hang out. Those guys don't want girls around, so we respect that. The only way in is through a mens bathroom. No rule against girls in the bar, but they can't go in the bathroom. Sneaky, eh?

It's just one small part of a big building, so that seems OK to me.

It's not as filthy as most people probably think. I use to stop in and have a few beers on occasion when a friend of mine was working the bar, I was never comfortable. Nothing against cruisey gay guys, but I don't really enjoy getting hit on repeatedly by dudes. The set-up is a sound system and a video projector playing porn on the wall behind the bar. I've also got five TV's set up and they all have porn playing too (two vcrs and a dvd deck). So it's a whole lot of man lovin going on all over the place. On the videos. If the guys actually start fooling around, security kicks em out.

It's also got the chain link, the benches, a little stage for strippers, that sorta vibe.

I couldn't imagine hanging out in a club with girls and having porn playing all over the place, and not being able to do anything about it. My balls would probably explode.

Oh, and it's in Minneapolis. Allanah has been here, Gia said she has stopped in when in town. We should throw a Hung Angels party, it's centrally located from everyone.

I was referring to the same experience I had at one time at the 90's in Minneapolis back when I lived there. I was talking about the double standards (BEEF) the gay community as awhole has about transgenders/transexuals. Sorry for the confusion.

The odd thing is that, On the weekends..what day was it that the 90's have more str8 crowds? Friday or Saturday nights? Like when it was 18 and up night I think..LOL. (I couldnt drink back then). I blend in prefectly with the GG, So I get hit on and picked up by Str8 guys..I just laugh tho Its all good. LOL. I tell them tho what I am. So they'd think Im blowing them off. Can't a private club discriminate? That's how so many clubs get away with lady's nights and things of that nature? I don't know what the precedence is in this case, but it seems like there are very broad interpretations of the law when it comes to cases like these, which usually side with wealthy club owners (campaign contributors)

Wow this is a really good use of the transgender legal defense fund. I can't think of more important reasons to use it than for being denied entrance to a fag bar. I mean things that real TS care about like equality in the workplace, being refused jobs because of our orientation, and being harassed or abused physically... I am glad the transgender defense fund sees not allowing WOMEN (not just TG's) into gay clubs as something to spend their money on. What a pathetic organization it must be. This is far from harassment. If you look through this thread I raised a valid comment of my perception of the issue. Referring to me as "clueless", "you know who", "the party at hand", or "it" does not change the simple fact that you just insulted me. You call me passive aggressive? Hello?
