Quake 4 - Clan Wanted

Hi all,

This is one of my few serious posts. I want to start a clan playing Quake4 once the game comes out. I want us to be a Capture the Flag team and play competitively.

So if you want to spend hours upon hours online with me in voice chat while having fun playing a First Person Shooter, let me know. A good clan will have about 10 people or so in it, but we can start off with less.

I would prefer experienced FPS gamers with Unreal Tournament, Quake2 or 3, or other relative experience. Please have a PC good enough to play it also. If you don't have a high end video card or willing to purchase one, it probably won't work out.

As long as you are in North America we should be OK. Sorry but as you all know, International latency is just too much to be competitive.

If I get no responses here, I'll just play with my old clan from Unreal Tournament. I would much rather play with you guys though.

Sounds like fun, I wouldn't be much good on a "shooter" level, but I think I could do a pretty good job as a Press Corp kinda guy.

I don't know if that's really wanted or not, but a lot of guilds or clans have kept records of their exploits, so let me know.

The guy stumbling through the mud, carrying a battered old portable typewriter recording the action. I could do that. I could even record video off my PC, keep a journal of things.

But I'm not good on the shooting and hitting things stuff.

Thanks JWBL, but I'm totally serious. I'm good, actually really good, at strategic war games, rgps, sims, those kinda turn based things.

Shooters, I suck. I spend too much time trying to figure out tactics and crazy ideas, and then a rocket hits my ass.

The clan I'm in may end up playing your clan. They just set up a server today and I was programming a status web page for it. Personally I haven't really played quake or unreal tournement.

Most of my experience is in America's Army....78 honor baby! AA is more realistic then Quake, doesnt have the graphics though. Ill have to wait and see whether Quake is worth buying first since my boyz dont have it yet.

im horrible at those type of shooter games.....im good at those stealth type games like splinter cell...plus i dont think im gonna trade in my car to get one of those video cards....i stick to ps2 and gc... :soapbox

Quake 4 is lame. I hated it. Too bad for Raven and ID. Quake 4 is trying to be like all the other squad-based games with friendly AI like Halo, First to Fight, Medal of Honor, etc. Quake 4 hardly feels like Quake at all. Granted, I love the Doom 3 engine. I prefer the Half-Life 2 engine though.

If you want a killer new FPS game, one word:

F.E.A.R

Nope not from those clans. I use a different name while gaming.
