Has anyone else seen DISTRICT 9 movie ?

i thought it was awesome! i may have an argument with the
Harry Potter fan lovers, and i have to wait to see what the FINAL DESTINATION 3-D movie turns out, but so far i'd have to say that
District 9 and Wolverine: Xmen Origins has been the two best summer movies.

i really liked District 9!
It's very nicely scripted, has no big name face to hog and draw
out focus away from the film. i loved the robotic fighting scenes and
the element of overcoming brutal mistreatment in beatings,
lab experiments, what the victims was forced to eat to survive, and
the dark humor of it. The end part of it was really awesome,...

i thought District 9 was kinda like a good blend of Cloverfield and
The Fly mixed together in it's camera-documentary type style and the
mutation effect as the movie went on.

I heard District 9 was pretty good. I also heard that the actors in the movie had not acted before so that's pretty cool. A lot of people didn't like X-men Origins, but I thought it was a good movie.

Thought it was an excellent movie in every facet. Loved every turn the plot took.

Will there be a sequel in 3 years? It sounded like the dialog hinted at it.

I really want to see more of this universe. It will interesting to see where this story goes.

I walked out of Distict 9 with the sam feeling I had when I left th Matrix. It was good to see someone do a sci-fi movie with more to it than just special effects. I thought it was a goddam work of art

i'll never forgive Fox studios for " TWICE" giving Fantastic Four movies to director Tim Story. Giving it more of a comical look than it more serious
Xmen look. Just about everything was bad about these FF4 movies, despite having a lot to with, in terms of the characters and the special effects/superpowers. Even Galactus was messed up. So forgettable. i felt like i was watching another campy B-movie version of He-Man.

I would give it a 6 out of 10. First, I didn't like how they tried to make it like a documentary. Second, how did the humans evolve to learn to speak alien? They understood all of the clicks and burps. Third, They're trying to "evict" aliens that have the potential to rip their limbs of like a twig. Fourth, how was the mothership just hovering above the ground in a place where there's a thing called "gravity"? Fifth, there was a lot of noise in the movie. There was garbage all over the place, jumping, noises, guns, missiles, screaming, grunts all through the movie, I was exhausted just from trying to watch all the action. I felt like this when I watched speed racer. Sixth, There was too much up in your face action.

I did however like the characters, the detail of the prawns, the storyline/concept; and I respect the intimate details and the hard work the designers and producers put into the designing and scenes of the movie. Watch out for the video game version folks.

have a great day all

You had to susepend a lot of disbelief to get past certain things and just enjoy the movie...but it was cool. It's a fucking alien movie - how do we know what a space ship can do?

It did have a similar feel to Peter Jackson's early low budge stuff - Dead Alive, Meet The Feebles - gross-out moments, slight humor, cool style and story. It was fun.

i shouldve mentioned the extensive gory, bloodsplatter in the gun-fights
..seeing heads and bodies explode like a squatched tomato,
both humans and prawns alike.
That sounds like the works of a director that made "Dead Alive "
