I have had some good months and some bad months. I haven't really been around long enough to know what profits would be like with a booming economy.

I do think porn is losing revenue due to technological and cultural obsolescence just as much as the recession. People just don't need to pay for porn, and the porn industry ultimately can't compete with horny swingers who want to impress each other. Actually according to a recent MSNBC documentary on the industry (like two weeks ago), sites like xnxx.com and spankwire have had a serious impact on DVD sales.

The traditional market for porn (young males) is gravitating towards low cost or free porn.

The largest growth market for the industry is actually women and has been for the last 5-10 years actually. This is given rise to plot driven, high budget movies seen in recent years.
