I have to say that even though this is supposed to be a 'porn forum,' it's really not. If it were it would likely be a pay site. That said, I think a lot of guys come here to try to get to know the girls whom they see on the real porn sites and so a bit of intelligent conversation probably isn't a bad thing from a promotional and even personal standpoint.

Who said anything about 'damage?' I just said that we all have to agree that this board CAN be used for whatever we like and that promotion is all about the person being promoted and nothing else. Some people ONLY use the board to promote. I think it contains porn because every time someone clicks a banner the owner of the board gets an affiliate sale, and that is the point of messageboards or blogs mostly. I'm not complaining about transexualism going commercial at all. In fact you know I stand as much to gain from it as many girls here. If you look though, my exact choice of words was 'only we can expand...' on it. Oh no you don't have to ignore me. I accept that explanation. It was better worded than the first. I still disagree about 'expanding,' though. I think the relatively new sexual interest in transexuals, even if it's through porn, can lead to greater understanding between trans and cis people overall and I feel a responsibility to help facilitate that. If you don't, then I completely accept your decision. I'm not here to judge anyone.

I find a few things interesting though. First, while I was frustrated with Hara at multiple points in the argument, I never got angry. I didn't throw a 'tranny fit.' I was simply trying to explain myself and she kept twisting my words to see what she could do to set me off. She never really did and she won't, and frankly I doubt she can. I'm not a drama queen AT ALL. I just find debate stimulating and communication good for relations - I'm Italian, so shoot me. And yes, I also tend to talk with my hands. ;)

Secondly, if Hara's trying to 'out-tranny' me, then she's fighting the wrong battle. I'm the type of woman who identifies as a woman who happens to be transexual as opposed to a 'transexual woman.' I feel that being trans is just one of a person's many physical and personality traits, so if she wants to compete with me she's going to have to 'out-girl' me, but really I'm secure enough to not fight that battle either.

I'm not sure what some people around here want from me or what's being said about me out of earshot, and I really don't care. We all have an agenda here. To those who dislike me: just respect mine and I'll respect yours.

Are you of the opinion that the disagreement hurt the 'community,' or was it anything in particular that was said?

I only ask because you use the word 'intolerance,' and I don't feel I was being intolerant of anyone (nor accusing you of directing the word at me). Fact is, I'm trying to do the exact opposite here by fostering discussion that was intended to be productive and the only reason I even bothered to argue with Hara was because she was trying to put everyone into her little 'primary/secondary transexual' boxes and by also arguing that she was righteous to do so, attempted to declare that everyone else should too.

I feel that it's prohibitively exclusive for her to do so because she feels that one group is superior to the other. Keep in mind too that as I say this I think the question of 'how trans I am' has been settled in my favor, so I have nothing to gain by defending other women who haven't been as lucky as some of us have by rejecting Hara's definitions - even if I fall into a 'preferable' one. You may not be a "Pollyanna", but you're definitely one of the most intelligent ladies on this site from what I've seen. That said, you know better than I do how things work when it comes to the women here getting along, especially when they're both pushing a product or website. Other times, the disagreement is the result of both participants being unfamiliar with other ways of communicating. In any event, it's a rare occasion where the situation doesn't devolve into a multi-page thread wherein "fans" of each girl berate the other while simultaneously trying to score brownie points, as we've seen here more than once.

What I'm trying to say is, you're right, such disagreements shouldn't be broadcast publicly, but they always will be because few people are as level headed as you are.

This girl has a political agenda of tolerance and peace within the trans community (and beyond) and personal freedom for all, but will not shy away from an internal fight to achieve it. This girl may have business interests in the forums, but that doesn't change the fact that what she REALLY wants is a better world. She is not beyond the use of rare or unique political techniques to make her points and doesn't care what individuals think about her as long as the greatest number of people possible are benefiting from any positive results obtained.
