i think natural is good but it does seem that many many websits now favour the more playboy style of airbrushing the bollox out of pics for that almost unreal look, while i think it still looks cool... my personal taste is somewhere in the middle...bit of spot removal etc ...

The problem with the plastic effect is the videos dont match the stills i find. I dont think one is better over the other as it comes to individual taste of the viewer.. myself on my website i have been playing with various styles of this so will have a mix of natural and photoshoped to capture both ...

When You got really good photographer who really can use light, not by putting a light into something , more like rule the shadows, then those pictures allmost look too perfect and you don't even have to manipulate anything.

Right makeup, right light and that's all any photo needs. Offcourse small pimples etc. has to be removed but skin should look like natural human skin, not plastic.

I can accept a little bit of correction. Remove a blemish or adjust the levels here or there. But people go overboard. Playboy is worthless as far as pictures are concerned. The photographers are good but they fuck up almost every shoot. The only ones that are sometimes worth while are in the Grapevine section. I definitely say natural for photoshoots. But that comes with some conditions. The photographer has to be good (lighting, posing, etc....) and the makeup artist needs to do a good job. What sucks is that over time people have gotten lazy (or cheap) and instead of doing proper makeup work or lighting they simply say "fuck it. We'll fix it later in photoshop". What I find troubling is that some models are battling this phenomenon by using inferior equipment (cough, cough, hello mister cameraphone). Because the phone cant capture nearly as much detail they can say they kept it natural. And the overexposed grainy images usually hide any flaws.
