NL-I’ve never heard of Danielle Foxx, as a matter of fact I thought she was Elli Foxx’s daughter when I approved her account. Well she made a LONG video about her hate for Luke is back and posted it on YouTube. She calls Lukeisback a "HATE BREEDING SITE" I believe that is libelous. She also says things in the video which are probably Slanderous. I say probably because after the first minute, I couldn’t watch anymore. She does start out the video by saying that she took down her old account because of all the hateful comments people posted. Hmmm I wonder why? If you have the stomach to make it through the whole nine minutes please let me know what it says. And also someone please save the video so that she can’t go back and delete it or change it if things start to get ugly (for her).

This post is a Goddamn shame, made so by discriminatory statements not only towards the transgender community but also the open minded, gay/bi community. It’s really amazing how people are so vocal in their views or gays and trans still to this day.
I am ashamed of being human and related in a molecular way to all of the negativity I am reading below - what will we do next? Hang Black people? Bring back slavery, White Supremacy, Holocaust, Darfur, Tibet??? This is despicable behavior and you people should be ashamed to even open your mouths.

I post on transgender boards, have several trangendered people who post on mine and consider many T/S my friends. (Even when they get upset with something that is said by a commenter on my site, they understand that it doesn’t neccessarily reflect my point of view)

I allow ALL points of view whether I agree with them or not. I am offended by some things that are said by commenters on my site, but I don’t take them down. Everyone has a right to their opinion. I interfere with comments as little as possible. But If someone said something specifically about you that was totally untrue (and not just an opinion), I would take it down. Don’t believe me? She didn't like comments on my site, so she made and put up a 9 minute video on YouTube called something like LUKEIS BACK is a hateful site, and then she went on in her video to trash me and the site. If you put yourself in my place I think you would probably have reacted stronger then I did. I politely answered her 4(?) e-mails and posted her video on my site. I didn't answer e-mails #5 & 6 because they were just getting more and more bizzare and were also repiticious.

In her comments she would say I'm going to the lawyers about this site in one post, then, why can't we all get a long in the next post, then more rudeness, bring it on, then she told us she had mental problems and said she didn't mean it about the lawsuit.

I think at this point she should just stop coming to the site. It obviously upsets her and there is no reason for her to argue with people. The commenters on my site are sometimes harsh, but you have to have a thick skin and sometimes you can win them over.

I stood up here once for what I was very offended for - child po-rn and I got such horrific replies to my deep concerns. Now the site seems to be doing a lot better with helping the internet be safe, such as installing a filter keeping non-members from seeing pictures. It doesn't work too well but it is an attempt. Truthfully I have to agree with Danielle here.

Using "free speech" in this context as a defensive argument is just absurd, if not intellectually dishonest.

There's no disputing the fact that yes, people have a natural right to free speech, including hate speech. The "screaming fire" analogy was a fallacy from the very start, as anyone who has actually read the SCOTUS ruling that quote comes from can attest.

The background to that "screaming fire in a crowded theatre" quote is that, roughly a hundred years ago- someone was standing outside of a theatre (actually across the street from it iirc), handing out fliers talking about the need for building code changes, and how the insufficiently regulated buildings in the area such as the theatre across the street were fire hazards putting people at grave risk. What prompted the "Screaming fire in a crowded theatre" argument was that Oliver Wendell Holmes's son needed some kind of argument to justify preventing people from expressing their political views when doing so caused private businesses to loose money, so ever the authoritarian big business pawn, he made up an exaggeration to paint the story as if people were causing panic in a crowded place. This wasn't true of course, he just wanted to trample their right to free speech. Never let the truth get in the way of a bad ruling :roll: ... and people have been sheepishly buying into the bullshit line ever since.

What makes the "free speech" argument worthless in this context is that we're talking about a private site that people are posting on. Most internet users do not use their own websites to express their views, instead they either use private websites like blogspot, or privately run internet forums (like this one), and similar sites. Since these are "private" websites, admins & moderators have full power to control what content goes on their websites.

That is to say, if "John Smith" runs a website called "John Smith's blog," since its a private website its not an ethical problem if he deletes comments to his blog stories that he doesn't like (spam, hateful comments, swear words, whatever). If "John Smith" puts up a site on another website (i.e. blogspot) then he has to agree to their terms of use, and those terms stipulate that he cannot use their site to express hate speech.

Of course this also means that a website operator could chose to (provided their host, redirect server, and ISP Terms of Services allow it) run a site that allows, or encourages hate speech. This is not, legally anyway, a problem- nor should it be.

But the simple truth that people like to ignore is that legality and morality are two vastly different things. Something immoral could be legal, that doesn't mean doing it ("because its legal") is the right thing to do. When people have the legal ability to do immoral things, it is their conduct that shows their true colors- and at no time is that more apparent then the people who would use their legal, natural rights to do immoral, harmful things (i.e. proliferate hate speech). As they say, "evil prevails when good men do nothing." Inaction on the part of webmasters when people use websites for belligerent purposes goes to show the immorality & poor judgment of said webmasters.

There comes a point where inaction is itself an action, people have a duty to act when doing so is the right thing to do.

She was just drawing a dead eye bead on your hypocrisy. You let all kinds of hateful and derogatory expressions about the transgendered go unmoderated on your board, but not racial ones.

Its equally offensive to refer to a transgendered woman as a "a dude with tits", or as a "freak of nature" as it is to refer to an Asian as a chink or a Latin person as a spick. But you allow it.

There is absolutely no evidence that transgender performers cannot be safely screened for STDs the same way as any other performers, yet you allow posters to claim that transgender porn stars are all infected with aids, and should be segregated from the rest of the porn world, and that any one who interacts with them personally, or professionally is automatically infected and also needs to be confined to a porno leper colony. That's really no different or any less irrational than someone saying that the races mixing is wrong or is detrimental to the rest of society. But you permit one and you remove the other.

And even worse than that, you repost forbidden comments here, out of context. So, you have a problem with the language in that post on your board, but no problem using it here as a personal attack.

First let me say Felicia, that those two phrases above are not pleasant, but to me they are nothing that a playground bully wouldn't use, and there are plenty of those on LIB, and that's it's nature. There are two different issues going here-
One that I am allowing people to be too harsh on transsexuals on my board.
Two- That Danielle is trying to represent and defend the T/S community, but what she is acutually doing is making herself look crazy and bringing more anger from my posters. Can you imagine the comments from them if I put up the above post of hers?

You may want to reconsider your belief because it's a converse accident fallacy. That's when you arrive at a generality based on an exceptional case. I really have no idea what part of the world you live in, but around here anyway, most schools didn't start to care about bullies until Columbine happened, and even then never took a complete interest in disciplining kids that were out of control.

The "playground bullies" in my school, which wasn't that long ago (I'm not that old) beat me so frequently and severely that the police had to take me to the station on multiple occasions to take full nude photographs to document the full extent of my injuries.
