its the William Shatner Priceline mentality
everyone wants to feel they're getting a deal..

there's a fancy steakhouse in NYC called the Palm. During the winter they had a dinner special Monday through Thursday.
For $35 you got a ceasar salad appetizer, filet mignon steak and a side of potatoes or spinach.

The special expired on June 1.
