"As a congressman, Sanford voted in favor of three of four articles of impeachment against President Bill Clinton, citing the need for "moral legitimacy."

don't forget Senator Ensign, another Repadulterer, who called on Clinton to resign during Monicagate.

Karma is a cunt ...

Yea, and Sanford spent five days licking and fucking Karma. Big deal, a politician who says one thing and does another, that's never happened.

Thinking with the small head again.

Imagine the look on his face as he walked out of customs and was face to face with the reporter from the most read newspaper in South Carolina; "ah, excuse me Gov, that must have been one hell of a hike, who knew that the Appalachian Trail ran from the US to Argentina." Guess he forgot he is from the Bible Belt.

"Below are excerpts of e-mails, obtained by The State newspaper in December, between Gov. Mark Sanford's personal e-mail account and Maria, a woman in Buenos Aires, Argentina."

The thing that puzzles me is how a newspaper or anyone, outside of a law enforcement agency conducting a criminal investigation, get hold of a person's private emails?

Good question, one that the good guv should have asked himself as he hit the send button over and over again. Let's not forget, he is not a well liked individual and maybe that extends to his staff. Like any employee using company provided equipment, laptop, servers, phone lines, one should not have the expectation that anything transmitted via said equipment is the property of the owner, in this case the state. Unless he is "discussing State business, it may be fair game.
