Poll: coke or pepsi

I have been a coke drinker for what seems my whole life.
It has always seemed that pepsi drinkers will drink coke if pepsi in not available, but not vice versa. I myself will opt for iced tea before pepsi.

Coke drinkers tend to be the same people who drink bourbon straight and can't taste the difference between red koolaids. Pepsi is for people who can actually tastes subtle differences in flavors. They drink wine coolers and fru-fru cocktails. Pepsi doesn't mix well with alcohol where as coke seems made for it, or made from it.

i drink pop about three times a year when nothing else is available. When there's a choice, I pick coke. I Do drink bourbon straight, but I prefer single malt scotch on the rocks (every night during my leisure reading time). In the morning my drink is orange juice and a cappuccino. Straight espressos through the work day. Late in the afternoon a cold beer or a gin&tonic helps me unwind. On hot lazy days in the afternoon, an iced latte cools me off and keeps me going.

Drinking pop is like downing 16 ounces of liquified sugar. YUCK! That's way too sweet for my temperament.

For a long time, it was Diet Coke, but for the last few years, I have favored Diet Pepsi (as well as other drinks by the same company... Eg., Diet Sierra Mist)

I once went to this party where we played a party game - we did a taste test of 20 different cola's, unlabelled in little plastic cups, and then wrote down which one's we preferred.

Coke original came out as the favourite. But it could be just what people are used to as it is the biggest selling cola.

And what I noticed is that Coke has a distinctive lemon taste that the other cola's don't have. So if you can't afford Coke you can buy Pepsi brand and put a slice of lemon in it. Tastes like Coke!
