NCAA & NFL Football are the only sports I follow now. I'll watch some MMA or Boxing but won't go out of my way for it. I find Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, and especially Soccer to be boring.

To play? Basketball, without a doubt. Unlike football, soccer, hockey, etc you only really need 1 other person to get a game going. You can shoot by yourself for shits and giggles also.

To watch, football. The games mean more to me because there are fewer of them

Well if that's a sport then you might as well include Poker, Darts, and Chess as sports too.

I'm a baseball fan at heart, but basketball and football are close behind. Anybody who's seen me notices I have a LOT of Dodger caps; that way I represent whenever. I used to watch hockey a lot (seriously), but haven't in quite awhile...even when the Ducks were in the Stanley Cup Finals.

If LA had only the Dodgers and Lakers, I'd be cool. USC football (as it stands right now) is only icing on the cake. I miss having an NFL team, but not really.

Think you were meaning that there is no super14 team in the semi finals/top 4 of super 14. There are 4 Aussie teams in super 14.

MY fav sport to watch is rugby, man there is nothing like watching the Allblacks play my heart thuds in anticipation of the next play, of big hits etc and if am watching it with girlfriend i squeeze her leg if other team is close to a try.

Fav sport to play is basketball, been playing almost as long as rugby. PRetty big in my small country and have managed to travel the world playing.

I play it every week, and am still watching games though the Bruins are out of it. Fucking Recci had kidney stones removed the night before game 7 and still played. Kessell was playing with one useable arm. Krechi is in for hip surgery. That's hockey, that's pride. Other players on other teams play through the same injuries. It's a love of the game.

Bobby Baun played with a broken bone in his foot. If you haven't played the game you can't understand this. I don't know how to explain it except to say you don't want to miss a shift. It's a rush. If your not skating it's like a portion of your life is missing. It's a high!

If any of you girls would like to learn more about the game, drop me a line. I'll do my best to get you into hockey. Guy's if you haven't laced on skates and played, don't respond about the sport --- you don't have a clue. The sport is rated low in the US because it has been relegated to the northern states for so long.

The good thing about hockey is groups generally always welcome newbies and help them along and give them advice.

Never said it was, but there is something about it, that creates a magical attraction. You just want to keep skating and play the game. Hurling is a much tougher sport and also gailic football which I love watching but never played.

The NFL (preferably from the 1960s and '70s), followed by the '70s-'80s NBA and the NHL of that same era. I also love the '60s AFL and the old ABA.

for me : soccer

there is a reason for this sport to be the most popular sport in the world 8)

there is a magic in this sport.

like Maradonna taking a ball in mifield , going through the entire English defence like they weren't there , and it looked so simple.......

or like Ronaldinio , having a free kick , the human wall jump upward expecting a high ball , but instead he shoots flat ball that goes beneath their legs , into the net, GOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL.

GENIUS moves that look so simple 8)

another genius was Michael Jordan 8)

Man, after watching the Heinekin Cup Rugby final i just cant believe so many people get into soccer in Europe, it was bloody fantastic, big hits, bit of biffo, good tries and close match. Great sport and if i was in Europe longer i would def try and watch more of this. Absolutely awesome. Although i do like football, i get annoyed by 0-0 stalemates and only prefer to watch exciting teams like Barca play (for example).

Soccer is a good sport but in my country fathers will try to push their kids into playing rugby in some cases. Because having a son that is a famous All blacks is every fathers dream and it would have been his fathers dream to have a son that was an All Black. When I grew up all i knew was rugby, i knew there were other sports but generally we didnt have much interaction with these 'other sports'. Only untill my late teams did i play some soccer and basketball- guess was at the stage where i wanted to try other avenues when it comes to sport- while it was still accessible at school. I stuck to basketball and have been playing it since. But man soccer- in my town anyway is not popular and generally people wouldnt give a toss if you said you played for the provincial team. Luckily in recent years basketball has gained a high profile and how provincial team gets upto 300 people along to games.....soccer on the other hand gets mothers and fathers and a handful of others.

Yeah, while soccer is the most popular atm, basketball is definitely picking up the pace. Part of it's success you can attribute to David Stern being successful in marketing it very well overseas, especially in Asia. Yao Ming is obviously the most popular player in China, Kobe Bryant 2nd, and LeBron James 3rd. It's growing pretty rapidly in a country with the largest population in the world. Basketball will be the 2nd most popular sport worldwide before we know it.

NFL Football. NHL Hockey would be my second favorite team sport, I played Ice Hockey in High School. I use to like Professional boxing, before it fell apart. I've been meaning to get into UFC, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I follow NFL (The Steelers in particular) very passionately and watch every game I can every weekend. I Follow College football pretty close too, but I don't really have a particular team that i care about, I just enjoy watching the game.
