Once you learn how to navigate the scene....ie...rebuff the skanks hassling you for drinks or lapdances, it's usually fun. Like anything, it's what you make of it.

The websites are hit and miss, as far as my experience. A couple girls I know and met in LA and in Texas looked just like their photos or even better. Then a couple latinas in Chicago looked almost NOTHING like their ad. No makeup, fatter. You could barely tell it was the same girl, but it was. My fav is just going out to the clubs in LA. The girls there are often extremely attractive and it's like going to a candy store. Some of the hottest are intimidating and do test your nerves. I've found about 20 Don Julios help.

While I believe that might be a fairly fair assessment from where you live, NYC, but that isn't necessarily true everywhere else.
