I'm in. Hopefully it will go better than the football league we have going; haven't had that bad a draft in years :(

Nick, I'd say that most people are like you, in that they don't allow their interest in fantasy sports to override their love for their favorite team. I think the appeal is that it allows people to feel like they are part of the action because they actually have something to gain through a player's efforts. It's an illusion, of course, but I'm sucked in as much as the next guy.

Can anyone explain why fantasy sport leagues are such a big deal? I understand the competitiveness that it fullfills for some but is there more? I understand most don't offer monetary prizes so that ain't it is it?

Personally I have my favorite teams in each sport and can't cheer for other team's players to have a good game just so I can say that my fake team beat Axl's fake team this week.

For me its about bragging rights!

I'm in, I think you should fix the starting positions though. That's way too many players starting on each team, especially if there's gonna be a lot of teams in the league. The teams are going to be watered down like a mofo. We only need one starter at PG, SG, SF, PF and two at C. Then maybe a utility or two and then bench guys.
