I agree, Vicki. The balance seems to have shifted from discussion to the posting of pictures. Don't get me wrong, the pics are fine (thanks to those who posted pics of Allanah's party) but it's good to have some comment too. Here's an issue that I'd appreciate your comments on, Vicki- In the UK the government is being forced to change its legislation re ts. Ts will have the right to a birth certificate/ passport etc of their chosen gender. They won't have to have srs or submit to any medical examinations. All they will have to do is prove that they have lived successfully in their chosen gender for a period of two years. It's seems to me that this will make a big change in the status of ts- do you agree?

The UK plan is a fair way to deal with the transgendered community. The problem is TS's in the US can't get legitimate employment and housing because of birth certs and social security #'s that classify them as men. When they're young they escort because it's one of the few jobs that don't require any documentation. If a girl can demonstrate she's live as a girl, fulltime for two years that should be enough to change her identity legally without SRS.

The ironic thing is the reason that will never happen here is in large part due to the "transgendered" activist community here. More specifically old school post operative transsexuals. So far as they are concerned , in spaces where non transpeople are not usually found they will call non-op and hesitant pre-op transsexuals men. The old school post-op transsexuals will call non-op's confused gay boys, or drag queens, or other derogatory things. Oh yes there is some ugliness on this side of the curtain.

Haha, thats kind of funny. I know three TS's just like that. They all transitioned after retirement, had a lot of surgeries done, all in Thailand. To them it is like going on vacation. They go there do a little sightseeing then go under the knife. After they recover they come home to show everyone how much more feminine they look. On one of their trips a few years ago, they all wen there as pre-ops and came home as post-ops. I think it the the happiest time of their lives. I don't really have the balls to tell them they still look awful, so I just compliment them to keep them happy. Maybe thats the wrong thing to do, but two of them are very nice to me so I just play along like its a wonderful thing that they have done.
