I had a bizzare incident happen Wednesday. I took a service call at a buillding that we've been handling for years. While I was in the elevator, this fat bitch starts going "OMG" "OMG" and really starts getting loud with the drama like she's going to be sick. We get off on the next floor and I proceed to the office manager's cubicle to check in and wait for someone from maintainance to come up with keys to the roof. While I'm chatting with the manager, some pimp from security comes up to us and tells me that I'm in violation of the company's frangrance-free policy and I've caused an employee to become ill. Huh? I'm asked to leave and get escorted out to the lobby. When I get back to the shop, my partner already got an earfull about how I was reeking with a fragrance and one of the employees had to take the day off. Here's what gets me, I've worn Royal Copenhagen for nearly 35 years and use no more the two dabs. I never use any aftershave. With daily use a bottle will last nearly 10 years I use it so sparingly. It's probably the most lightest of any men's cologne available with a fragrance that closer to a perfume then a men's strong cologne. Nobody has ever complained about it before. My wife and girls love it and it's the main reason I even wear it.
Anyone here encounter a "Fragrance Free Workplace"? First it's no smoking and now they don't want you wearing perfume or colognes? I have to admit that there are times that you encounter a person that's drenched in too much perfume, cologne, or aftershave and it gets to you, but this is getting ridiculous.
