I am surprised they're making another one without APC bankrolling it again. Heard that they were contributing a LOT to some of the sequels hoping it would inspire teen car owners to go out and order their catalogs full of cheap shit ricer parts after seeing the movie.

APC is gone now (thankfully). Their stuff was never all that great and they were having a rough time for years towards the end:

I think the only reason why they lasted as long as they did was because of the F&F franchise. Only thing it was missing was a cheesy kids toy line like Mad Max had in the 80s.
