Levey was hit in the face by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho outside the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday, witnesses told the Times Colonist.


According to the report, several hundred witnesses were gathered near Jericho, and some began heckling him after he lost a bout in Saturday's WWE event. Jericho launched into a profanity-laced tirade, a rant that ended with him taking a swing and knocking a female fan to the ground. A video captured the entire incident, though it was unclear from the footage whether Jericho actually "punched" the woman.

"I was really surprised that a pro wrestler would do that with everyone watching," one witness told the newspaper. "And hit a girl, what are you thinking?"

Victoria police confirmed an incident involving Jericho, but the wrestler left the parking lot before police arrived on the scene.


According to the report, fans were deriding Jericho, using expletives of their own.

"You're an insult to Canadians you (expletive)," one heckler shouted, according to the report.

Jericho tried to get arena security to stop the hecklers, at one point yelling, "Do your (expletive) job — get this stupid (expletive) out of here."

WWE spokesman Kevin Hennessy told the Times Colonist on Sunday that the female fan provoked the incident. He rejected the allegation that Jericho punched the woman, calling the term "a little extreme."

This happened shortly after the end of Raw's houseshow in Victoria BC Canada on 7 Feb 2009.

After Jericho drove out of the parking lot, a fan ran up to his SUV, starting knocking on the window and fingering him while yelling. Jericho opened the door and had the fan kick it shut. This is when I started recording.

The first little bit shows pretty much nothing, but it's there. According to other bystanders, this fan had been verbally harassing Jericho prior to the show. It's a shame that one fan had to ruin it for everyone, I hope he is found and charged.

It should be noted that Jericho was in fact being assaulted from multiple angles when he pushed her away- piefaced her ... he didn't hit her with a closed fist.

He was in the wrong for getting out of the car in that situation, no good was going to come from it but to be honest he did little more than defend himself.

I know a guy online who saw much of it and he basically indicated it was all the 2 to 4 people in Johl's group who were the aggressors.

The wrestlers will now be available only to fans willing to pay for exclusive signings or special appearances. No doubt that security will make it almost impossible for little kids to see there favorite stars up close as they leave from now on. Way to much liability lawsuit potential for McMahon.

Jericho was right that security should do there job and clear the area. But he was also insanely retarded for exiting his vehicle. If they are being that annoying you simply drive by and give them the finger. And what is with these fans taking it so seriously? Are you fucking kidding me? I can understand getting into the show and giving them shit when they are in the ring but taking to the streets is ridiculous. My only hope is they were drunk and not naturally that stupid.

I haven't watched Wresting on a regular basis since high school but I always felt Jericho had the potential to be a total asshole. I just thought he was smarter than this. Guess I was wrong. With that said.... I don't believe in hitting women but my guess is the cunt deserved it.
