Etta James has been on record on at least ONE site saying that she was "overcome with pride" at Beyonce's singing "At Last" at Barack Obama's inauguration. Apparantly she's changed her mind, since three days ago she lit into Beyonce at a concert she did at the Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam, BC.

Saying, among other things, "she gonna get her ass whipped", James pulled no punches and even took some shots at Obama.

yeah i saw this a while ago..... im sure it boils down to the fact that beyonce singing "at last" is promotion for her movie where she plays etta and etta being alive and "kicking" probably would have preferred to sing her song at a history making moment then having another actress/ singer do it for her

I just think its a little jealousy though.....
But if you think about it maybe Etta has a point Im mean they had Aretha Franklin there and although she is a legendary singer she looked quite a fat mess.
The point is RE RE sung her song so how come they couldnt get Etta to sing hers?
Im mean lets be honest if you wanted to get someone pretty to sing it you could have gotten someone else that sings better then Bey Bey.....and thats almost anyone.
Im just saying.......
Beyonce landed the gig because of her dad pulling strings and to promote her Miserably horrible new album Sasha Fierce(sorry Mimi I know you and every other queen live 4 her but that album stinks badly).

That I am ahead of my time so my ideas seem foreign to many outlandish even but eventually people agree with me.
