Was that a pageant of blind girls in front of a seeing audience or was it a pageant of seeing girls in front of a blind audience ??

If it was the latter, it must have been funny as shit

Howard is going to Sirus satelite radio. I've listened to Howard off and on since he use to follow Imus on whatever the fuck station they were on in NY (probably WNEW, not sure). I would say Sirus fucked up. (HeHe tell'em Fred). Howard purports himself to be the "King of all Media". He may have been, but he's lost his fastball. I still listen to his show but it's to hear Artie. Same as I listen to Imus to hear Bernie, Rob Bartlett, Larry McCarthy, Charles and Bo Diddle. Imus realizes he's the spoke and the supporting cast is the show that keeps the wheel turning. Howard thinks he's the spoke and the wheel. What happen to Artie's predessor and Artie when the predessor replaced him. Thank god Stuttering John saw the light and moved to the Tonight Show. Howards going to Sirus but he's dead in the water. His competition is Opie and Anthony on XM Radio. I've been listing to this format for a very long time...Imus, Howard, the Great Charles LaQuidirra (Dwayne Engles Glasscock) Bob and Tom, Opie and Anthony (since their time at WAAF in Boston). In this time and place, in this medium, satelite radio, O&A will kick his ass. It's the old guy going up against the young bucks who are already established on the medium. They already fucked Howard, with Infinty gladly participating by forcing Howard to do a glowing ad for XM while he was still under contract with Infinity. Howard, take a lesson from the guy you hate, Imus, find you're own niche, something different. He still doing it and he's still entertaining. If you try to go head to head with O&A you will be sent to the Bob Edwards camp for people who are enamored with you. O&A have a lock on your medium on satelite. You did not invent everything....be real. For Christsake that's how you started...being real. Without Artie, you have nothing, no matter what you think! Slap yourself in the face and say "Snap out of it!" I have loved all the shows I've mentioned and still do even yours. You went to Sirus, cars are the key to getting the full boat and Sirus has shit for manufacturers and their portable unit is something out of a Dilbert cartoon. Don't take on O&A, they have pests, which outnumber your fans who are tired after years of campaigning and now have to scamper around to find out how to subscribe to Sirus. Fuck when you are alone in your room with no one around....you have to admit O&A are hilarious. If you don't, you've become delusional and on the road to nowhere but.....a billion dollars richer. Make sure they pay up front because the Pat Battle is on. Lil' Jimmy you must be a member here...email me if you are.

Definitely... How can you not get a kick out of O&A? It's just one long laugh fest. Stern has been too formulaic for a number of years now, but will probably get better when he goes to satellite.

I'm an Imus fan myself...I miss Sid Rosenberg doing sports, though...apparently he also resigned from WFAN radio also. they inferred he had fallen back into his old "habits"...I love Rob Bartlett's Dr. Phil impression, one of his best ever...

I listen to Stern once in a while because they have some humorous stuff from time to time.
But here's what I don't like about Stern.
I can't help but get the feeling that the guy is a total phony.
He has on all these porn stars and freaks and shit to get ratings, but when they aren't on the air he talks about them with total contempt, you can hear it in his voice.
This guy has all kinds of sluts and porn stars on, but I can't help but get the impression he's totally disgusted by the people he has on his show, it's all for ratings and his own gain.
The guys is disgusted by most porn and has admitted it on the air.
I thought this guy was supposed to be a rebel, he's supposed to be dirty.
He doesn't really like having most of these people on his show, he only has them on because it brings in ratings and $$$$$.
He's really a crotchety old man who's always sour, he's more like Imus than he'll ever admit.
He's only in it for the money, he couldn't give a shit about free speech.
When his show hits satellite radio he'll be able to say whatever he wants without being fined, and his show will go downhill. Why? Because his entire schtick has been him against the FCC and the radio big wigs.
All that fake rebelliousness will be gone, he'll be able to swear a smuch as he wants and not get censored. He will cease to be interesting.
The most entrertaining part of his show now is the news, and Robin is annoying as hell, an elitist cunt who thinks her shit don't stink.
What will they talk about when the "man" isn't breathing down their necks anymore?
Who listens to boomboxes these days? That's what Sirius radio is. They are asking people to listen to the radio like they did in the 80's, gimmie a break.
If you can't listen to their show in your car forget about it.
Who listens to radio at home anymore? no one that I know.
Radio is a medium that strives on people listening in their cars, if you can't listen to it in your car nobody will listen.
I've never heard Opie & Anthony so I can't comment on them, all I know is that moving to satellite was a huge mistake.

Don't even get me started on Sirius stock. I remember awhile ago, when the market was rock bottom, I figured "I should look into this thing, it's bound to recover eventually, of course, could be some good deals to be had."

Right, everybody was thinking that. I didn't know anything about the whole business (I still don't) but I started looking at all the shares that were below a dollar at the time, compaired their value when the market was booming. I made a list and finally after researching the remaining companies came up with one that would be a great investment.

SIRI (Sirius) was selling for 65 cents a share. It's at a little over 7 bucks now, and I'm sure will keep going up.

But I couldn't have afforded that many shares anyways. Still, no one listened to me, they didn't figure it had any potential.

sigh

It was less than two years ago when SIRI was south of a buck. I'm not going to discuss the fundamentals of this company cause frankly they suck. But at 7, it's a buy. It's the kind of stock that captures the imagination of the public, and no one really cares that they're years away from being profitable.
Howard starts in January and we should see mid teens by second quater 2006.
IMHO

Hmmmm... I listen to Howard from time to time (drivetime). I think there's validity to some statements. I wonder if he's just gettin too old or if the lease was getting smaller and smaller.

I listen to all radio all the time NPR, Stern, O+A, PHC, WINS, tons of music, baseball even ranting Jesusheads...but have only paid to listen to Ron and Fez. These guys are piss pants funny and come on right after O+A on XM. they juststarted this monday so they are a bit rough right now. You can get a free 3 day online feed at XM.com They also have fucking great listener parties in NYC. They tipped the scale to XM for me... and I actually worked for the dog star. But if you are up there enough you can see how bloated and over drawn there place is.... even with Mel. Seeya!

BTW IMUS has never been funny except when he almost croked. That show is lifeless and IMUS is a dribbeling shitwad. I'd rather hear my teeth biting down on tin foil. When Sid Rosenberg was the original Sportzguy and "problemed" he was as funny as Scott Ferrell. When WNEW FM was rockin it was as stoopid as radio could get.

You O&A fans crack me up.

I am an O&A fan, I am an Imus fan, I was a Bob & Tom fan (they're not in my range anymore) Ron n' Fez, ... don't know shit about them yet. I love this format! My all time favorite will be Charles LaQuidiera of WBZN of Boston now of Hawaiii, (don't know if he's on air though). They make me laugh out loud. I am also a fan of Howard's but man, he has gotten so caught up with himself, i cringe when he goes on these diatrabes on how he created everything. For christsakes, he sounds like a ruler about to go down the poop shoot. I am trying to help him, but he doesn't take critizism well anymore. When he goes to Sirus, he'll have a free canvas but no audience. What he'll probally do is what he did before the FCC crack down. Unless he comes up with something completely original, Sirus is screwed and won't be able to fulfill his contract because they haven't done the leg work that XM has. Saying fuck and cunt at will, will not be enough as O&A have learned. There has to be substance.

By the way I was listening to O&A live when the St. Patrick's thing happen and I cringed at that, and thought you boys fucked up! And they did but they came back wiser and funnier. Howard is going to Sirus, how many of his demographic are going to cough up the bucks to subscribe to Sirus. How many of his listeners are going to base their car buying decision based on whether it comes with Sirus. I didn't buy my GM vehicle because it had XM. As a matter of fact, O&A cost extra when I did. I didn't buy the special service. Then they were part of the package. I listened and they were hilarious.

It's not a question of being a die hard fan. It's a question of who makes you lol. When I get up and shower I listen to Imus, when I get in the car I listen to O&A, when I get to work I can't get Imus so I listen to Howard.
Imus has too many commercials, if I could play O&A on my computer in the office (which I can) I would but I can't have uncensored shit blurting out while I talk to employees, clients and whoever.

Enough of this palaver, I'm being honest not a fan, Howard has a tough road to hoe to unseat O&A

I love Stern and can not WAIT to get SIRIUS, thanks to the FCC and Collin Powell's Dog of a son with their censorship crusade,

Call me crazy, I am SICK of bleeps, distortions, and cut outs on TV and Radio......tired of hearing "F U" and " A-hole" The censorship is more offending than the profanity. Hell, Howard can;t even talk about stuff he could talk about 7 years ago, thanks to the god damn FCC

And seeing how Stern needs to go to stailite shows that the religious right is winning it seems.

I am getting myself a sirius subscription next year.

IMUS: A withered old mummy who pretty much has sick kids do chores on his ranch ( big fun, eh kids? )

Man-Cow: His show was so censored when I Was listening to it 6 years ago, not to mention I was getting tired of his religious crap.

Drew and Mike: Howard Wanna-be's

Amazing how all these fucks who wanna skrew howard ( the radio affliates ) are happy to skrew him over, but PANIC when tey heard he' leaving, plus the fact that ,any radio stations loose ratings big time when they take stern off the air.

Religious hillbillies can NOT be the ones who choose what we listen or watch..........I refuse to believe that the religious rednecks are the majortity :P

Of course my opinion is moronic and misspelled. Next time I'll have my sexratary proof it and post to the Princeton Law Review. But it still won't make IMUS any funnier.
