I should know this already right? Im not big @ the party scene, but once in a rare blue i like to show face. Anyhow today is my bday and i know it's last minute but plans never fall thru when i make em so i figure lets just see which way the wind blows. Anybody know of any party's that might be cool on a cold ass sunday night?

yeah i know, my friend does promotions for those parties but its a lil more hardcore than im in the mood for tonight. I'm just gonna hang w a couple of friends and have some drinks. I've already made plans and im getting dressed now. I prolly shoulda went out last night but u know how it is, the older u get the less u feel like celebrating... even tho im only 16! lol

I went to both Susanne Barsch's party at greenhouse and Asseteria last night. I've never been to Asseteria before: maybe it was an off night, or maybe I left too early (3:30AM), but aside from Nikk's performance i was fairly underwhelmed. Nice space, but didn't blow me away and my comment to the person I went with is that the crowd looked like all the people who couldn't get into Suzanne Barsch's party.

OTOH Suzanne's party seems not to have changed since it was in the club under the Chelsea hotel ?20? years ago. My comment was that not only do the people look exactly the same, they are still playing the same music as back then. However, that shouldn't be taken as a slam, because Suzanne always had one of the best parties around and this was a throwback to when i used to go just about every week.

In short, at least last night, the SB party blew away Asseteria.

I would warn anyone going to Escuelita who is a bit whitebread that there is some rough trade there.
