Nominations and Judging.

Pre-nominations were given by members of the public (requested from a number of free forums and members sites). These were filtered to only include those eligible for nominations (ie; had to have appeared in a website in 2008, or DVD released in 2008). Most of the categories are intact from those filtered nominations.
The category "Best N.American/European Website Model" was the one with the most pre-nominations. The judges were given a list of every eligible model and asked to choose their favourite 6 models from that list. The results were tallied and the 8 models who appeared the most on the judges list, were selected as the nominees.

The Judges : are all recognised members of the TS website community. Each judge does not know who the other judges are, these will be named at the announcement of the awards. No judges personal choices will be made known, only the over-all winners and runners-up. Judges will choose their top 3 in each category ranking them from 1-3, with their favourite getting 3 points, 2nd, 2 points and 3rd 1 point. The nominee in each category with the highest tally will be the winner.

Well it looks like this is generating some interest and drama. I'm glad to see that one of my DVD titles was included.

I see some here are already complaining about who is nominated and who is not. Naturally there will be disagreements. That is always the case when it comes to awards shows, beauty pageants, etc. There are some nominees who I think should have made the list. So what. Maybe they will be on next year's list.

The mainstream adult industry gives very little respect to this genre. So I think it's cool that Seanchai is doing something about it. We should not expect this to be perfect - especially the first time around. But it is a step. Lessons will be learned and improvements will be made. Constructive criticisms are a good thing. Negative statements that don't offer solutions don't help.

I just hope I get a trophy or I'll be pissed. :lol:

Members of the public were able to nominate across various forums, including HA, HD, tgirltalk and probably others. I entered one suggestion,which happens to have made it on to the list to be considered.

Compare Seanchai's list and the AVN TS perfromer nominations. AVN is 100% US only. Seanchai's is North America biased, which reflects the audience, but he's had the decency to make sure that awards will go to other parts of the world, AND to make sure that work outside of the porn biz is recognised.

This list is WAY ahead of how AVN 'recognises' work.

To repeat to anyone with criticisms - it has been open to everyone to put in nominations, and published widely. Were you asleep?
