I had an encounter 3 weeks ago today with a trans escort. The part I am worried about is she gave it to me in my ass, with a condom on. However, I began to bleed and we stopped. She did not cum to my knowledge. How much risk do I have for HIV? This is the second time I have had this kind of sex, I am not with many people.

About 2 weeks after this incident, I started to feel fatigue and some soreness around my body. I know these are possible symptoms of early HIV but have also read that they don't necessarily mean anything without a test. A lot of people worry, like me, that they have it and start to feel symptoms out of stress, not the disease. The fatigue is gone now, 3 weeks in.

I have been reading up about it, and apparently I need to wait until the 6 week mark to have a meaningful antibody test. I don't know how I will survive another 3 weeks, I am sick with worry and can not sleep or enjoy anything. Your support and advice would be appreciated.

Think happy thoughts, maybe you have not been eating well. you might have set off an unbalance. also you might be stressed at work and causing more stress by thinking these particular thoughts. hiv is only caused by blood to blood, if the person had a latex condom and it didn't break then you should be fine.

very importantly you should not have any relations with anyone until you are officially tested..

Is this the second time that you have bled after anal sex, or the first time?

My advice would be to take that test indeed and never ever take it in the ass!

Your worry can and likely is manifesting itself in psychosomatic sickness, the symptoms you think you are having may just be typical stress related ones. Don't get too worried over anything until your tests return. Good luck

I've bled from everything from a large bowel movement, to anal sex, to just straining to go to the bathroom / diarrhea, I think I just have some bowel issues unrelated to STDs... but of course this raises my risk level....

I know I have to get tested in a few weeks, but the last 3 weeks have been a living hell waiting... I don't know how I can make it another 3

If she wore a condom, and it didn't break, then i'm pretty sure that you are fine. Like others have said you may just be sick, or not eating right.

It's good to talk to someone, anyone, about this... I've been keeping it to myself for 3 weeks, my friends and family have no idea. Has anyone had similar scares?

the only scare youve experienced is the one in your head you gave yourself

youre prob fine. and if youre not it prob wasnt the most recent experience that you got sick from. get tested. go from there.

symptoms for early stage of hiv? sweetie really no symptoms. you don't really have to wait that long before a test. only 2 weeks if you take the dna pcr test. a lot more expensive but good for your piece of mind in this case...i'm sure u'll be fine. xoxo

Relax, sounds like everything will be fine. Arrange to take the test, but know that things are most likely fine.

1. You used a condom, which did not break or fail.

2. As you cited, she did not cum.

These things, if true, are both things you should be relieved about.

My GP told me 3 mths till it can be certain. I did a similar thing , had an intense encounter when I buggered a TS escort and the condom broke. She was African too. I was awake all night thinking about it and developed similar symptoms to you. I even missed a West-ham match so that shows i thought I was ill. It came back clear all in my head mate. Can't be sure obviously as you haven't had the test results just saying you can feel like that. Good luck, I know what it's like waiting.

Missing a West Ham match may be a good thing and save you more anxiety and pain. Although you tied my Blues at the bridge  ZOLA RETUNS.

If condom didn't break no sweat. Bleeding from the rectum can be from a number of conditions so get that checked out as well.

Cool, those rapid test are hard to come by, I asked for one and they said it not free unless I am high risk, so they asked all these questions about everything about my personal life. In the end I got it free after 30 min of questions LOL!!! Hopefully you got it easier than me. Good thing about the test you get the results right away.

I remember being told equal accuracy to standard test, which is about 99.9% or something

But as to the question why it isn't used as the standard test than, I was told cause its too expensive.

Working in the HIV prevention field, I can say you are correct. If the condom did not break, and she did not cum and you guys stopped there is nothing to worry about. You should be tested for peace of mind more than anything.

The statistics show 99.5% which is pretty acurate. Where I work we use Orashure. They are always free in Chicago, I don't know about other citys

I think in my area (orange county california) the person told me they don't get many of them and a lot of people want them so they are stricter, free if only you are high risk. But if you are willing to pay, the charge is $40 still not that bad.

Wow, in Chicago, we use OraQuick Rapid Test. Its always free. Does not depend on the risk assesment form. I guess its not the same verywhere.

Yea personally I was surpised that there was a charge, but at the last moment, the person said its free if you high risk and he specified, high risk means you had multiple sexual encounters with men, some of it being unprotected. In my personal opinion, this will just encourage people to lie through their teeth to get the test for free and they use these surveys for government statistics.

One more thing wakariyo...based on this thread I would almost suggest you never bottom again. I say this not because I think receiving anal is bad..it can be quite pleasurable with the right TS....but if your gonna stress out like this every time you receive anal..then that particular sex act isn't worth it for you- cause sex is supposed to be pleasurable and if it leaves you stressing that much (constant self monitoring..and a multitude of testing) when you had safe sex (and it sounded like you did)..then it isn't worth it. Remember..you may always bleed at least a little..and that doesn't include the tearing of the intestinal lining which may not produce significant blood as visual evidence.
If you want to bottom more often from now on then prepare a little bit in advance..and always use condoms (and proper lubrication)..get tested regularly during the year..and stop worrying so much about it....If you find you can't stop worrying no matter what...then maybe this isn't for you.

There is overwhelming evidence that the HIV test gives a false reading. This test has cost many innocent people their lives by taking toxic harmful aids drugs such as azt when nothing was really wrong with them.

Get checked out for either Proctitis or Ulcerative Colitis, which I have.
I get very tired quickly, suffer from runny bowel movements containing mucus and blood and get sore joints.
That is what it sounds like to me. It is a bit of a fucker to live with but won't kill you and is treatable with meds and a change of diet.

Thats shady of that agency to do that, but you have a valid point on the statistics. But thats bad because people who need the test or want the test but odn't have the money can't get tested because they don't want to lie. Free HIV testing keeps a community more aware of their status, as the agency I work in is Latino and straight, I noticed people come in repeatedly for testing. Every 3 months is what we recommend for more "active" persons.

Actually false positives are extremely rare, and for instance in the agency i work with, aftter a positive result with OraShure, you get retested with Western Blot to confirm the posiive result. So that means for a confirmed positive diagnosis you would have taken 2 tests that are above 99.5%.

Not sure what you mean by that. I don't feel I did anything wrong. The sex was safe. I was only concerned due to bleeding and perceived symptoms.

If I learned anything it is that stress and worry can produce real physical symptoms... for me it was pain in my groin and armpits. Probably 2 weeks of worrying did that to me, not any disease.

How about zero percent? The test is nonsense. If you want your blood tested you check for std's. The hiv test is a man made cash cow.

I have a relative who has HIV, though he got it from intravenous drug use in the late 80's, not from shagging. I can assure you it's a very real disease, with very real consequences and a very real conclusion. It goes to show that safe sex is effective though, as his wife of 20 years has not become infected. Rubbers work. Use them and use your brain, and you will be alright.

Secrecy and stupidity hand in hand the best combination in secret life of chasers / trannies is what I get from the entire thread. (Continues to fuck his GF with strap on this find evening) while she watches the "OFFICE" and not me stuffing her good.

Chaser: "I'm living a lie / secret I might have caught AIDS (like its a cold, stupid ass you are) therefore I'm scared (shitless, get it? LMAO), anyone else?"

Pimps/Trannies/Other sea creatures: "No worries you're fucked in the head and you are making it up just don't take it up the ass."

Um o k.

My people. AIDS/HIV is not the enemy here thus henceforth life is not over don't start killing one another. This virus has been so demonized. My flat mate's pops has it, he's alive and well, he doesn't blame anyone or anything. When he dies he figures that is his time to venture away from this fucked up shit hole anyways what does he care? I like his attitude its less self victimizing. Agree? (Straps the on, to my GF and makes her fuck me now)

As long as you had protected sex, you are probably ok. However, you will need to go and get tested if you want to relive yourself from the worry and depression this is probably causing you.

I know what you are feeling right now because about 6 years ago, I had a very similar concern. I had been with several different girls and about 6 weeks later I felt like I had the flu. This feeling lasted for about 3 months and if got to the point where I could not work or anything. I was so scared to go to a doctor becuase I was sure that I had hiv, and I did not want to face living with hiv and aids.

After a few months of feeling this way, I finally broke down and went to see the doctor. Turns out that I had a hernia that was causing me to feel like I had the flu.

Looking back, it is kind of funny to me. But at the time I was in a total state of panic and it led me into an episode of deep depression. My advice to you is to go and get tested ASAP and then get tested every month after that. Just the thought of thinking you are infected will drive you crazy. And the funnt thing is that you are probably not infected at all and may just have some other problem that needs to be taken care of.

Listen I know AIDS first hand as i witnessed in the 80's when a relative living with me died. I watched how this person blew out their immune system with drugs, alchohol and cigarette abuse for 3 days at a time with no sleep. I also saw this person malnourished and dehydrated. I saw this persons habits of intravenous needle abuse and unprotected anal sex.

This right there is the menu to destroy the immune system

To top it off I watched the person check them self into a hospital and the hospital killed this person with toxic harmful drugs.

The whole HIV theory is a lie and it has been exposed. The only thing stopping it for coming into the limelight is a billion dollar gorilla known as the pharmicutical titan.

This was the 80's when there still not that much information on full blown aids.

I just want everyone to know everthing modern medicine has told you about aids is a lie. Seek out the truth and you will find it.
