Alot of guys, ts lovers and admirers, dont know the significance between TS, TV, and CD. And to be honest with you I get confused sometimes myself. Some guys say they dont like a TV's but the girls they praise are no different from guys with wigs, rather pretty or not. So I ask what is a real transexual? The recent Kayla Coxx post brought to mind the realization that men are so confused. I saw alot of you downing her because she was a part time girl, that she didnt have any tits, and because she wasn't on mones. But some of your favorite girls; the only thing that makes them a girl is the hair. Some of you said that she needs to have TV on her ad and not TS. Does this apply to alotta of other girls like her, whom most of you find attractive and passable? Does a girl need tits to be a TS? Does she need to be on hormones? And if she was how can you tell? I mean I dont take hormones, am i not a TS?
Alot of you think just because a girl is pretty and passable that she is a TS. But whose to say, if I dressed JWBL up in drag and he turned out to be really pretty, is he a TS? Any boy can put on a wig and look pretty but what truly makes the cross over to a Transexual?
If a girl is pretty and passable, tits or not, hormones or not, in some instances hair not, she is still considered a transexual to some of you guys. So my conclusion is that the "girl" is in the eye of the beholder.

Tut tut Jade - you should know the difference.

A TS/transsexual is male who identifies with being a female (or vice-versa) and feels that they need to dress and act as a female to be complete. Whether they feel the need to have the surgery or not, if they identify with being a woman, than they are transsexual. This would also be the case in someone who outwardly appears male but because of social stigmas or the situation that they're in, is unable to dress and appear as a female. So the taking or not taking of hormones, is a state of mind.

A transvestite is someone who feels comfortable dressing as a woman, sometimes but not always tied with a sexual kick/fetish. These people don't idtentify with being a woman unless dressed but identify with being a male who dresses as the opposite sex.

A crossdresser is someone who generally dresses as a sexual kick/fetish and may not even identify with the opposite sex but enjoys the feel of wearing female clothes.

Of course, where the lines blur is when we account for intersexed persons, hermaphodites and gender dysphoric.

So it would be a state of mind/being, rather than a look.

For the purpose of a site like this or for guys into TG's, we need to realise that anyone who is transgendered (any of the above) can fit into the fetish although I'd classify most of the models in the adult industry as "shemales" a nick-name given by the adult community to the whole transgender performers.

Jade, all I can say is, I know what tuns me on. When I saw you in person, you were as pretty and feminine as any gg that I've ever been with (and I've had my fair share)
The pics of Kayla Koxx turned me on. But cause she's part- time and escorts as a gay male, everyone freaked. the message was that I'm a faggot cause I dig a TV.

Bottom line: who cares? I dig you cause you're good at being a girl. If you're wearing a hard hat drilling ditches during the day, that's OK. As long as you're a girl when you're with me, thats all that counts. part-time, full-time. I think we're saying the same thing.

Jade, there are so many categories, and in the adult entertainment and escort markets as you know the emphasis is quite stilted compared with the TS population in other walks of life. Estimates run to at least 40,000 TS in the US: how many are shemales? (By which, as Vicki has done, I'm applying the term to TS who build their careers on their pre-op transsexuality.)

There's also the question some (not I) would raise as to whether any girl who doesn't desire and, if possible go for SRS (or as some have described it, GCS: Genital Corrective Surgery) is truly a transsexual. I don't accept that. If a girl feels like and identifies as a woman, but is born a man, she's a transsexual: her dik or SRS doesn't define her transsexuality, her identification does. I don't know if you ever plan on having SRS (GCS)--and I'm not asking--but I wonder if you agree with me that you can still be a Trans-woman whether you want to keep your dik or not. If you enjoy it, and hormones haven't made it dysfunctional, why not continue to enjoy it? If on the other hand you want to transition as completely as medically possible, then that's great because I think everyone should be who they really are inside, to the degree possible.

Here's what I think, since you asked.

A TS is a girl born in the wrong body, her appearance is mostly female except for one part.
Example: you Jade, Vanity, Vicki Richter (who's also really hot), there's a lot of girls I would call a TS who I haven't named.

A Transvestite is a man that dresses up as a woman usually at night, during the day they look like an ordinary guy. They could be a little feminine though. I met a transvestite at a party and she was pretty cool, but during the day she's a he.
Example: Rupaul (most famous one), this girl in Philly named Kalina.

A crossdresser is a man that wears women's clothes. Under his male clothes. Could have on a suit and tie with a garter belt and stockings underneath. He could dress up like a woman at home, but doesn't go anywhere. I think if you translate Transvestite it means Crossdresser. Just from the couple of languages I speak. Famous example J. Edgar Hoover.

So, no Jade, you don't have anything to be confused about, because you look like a female.

Jade I would like to reply to your post ., which is very intersting as your posts .always are !

So , Thank you !!

I think the other person , ( and its not really fair to keep referring to them by name but to whom reference HAS been made ) , is not at least in my humble opinion , at all " feminine " , - if others were saying so also , maybe others thought so too ?

As for You Jade , Well , You on the other hand , are in a totally different class and a totally different level of feminity .

You Jade are TOTALLY feminine in EVERY possible way , and therefore , more than entitled and justified and should always be refered to as " Female " , " Her " and of course , " She " !!!!

However you achieved all you have , ( with 'mones or without 'mones ) , at least to me , is not of any importance
.
What really matters is the end result !. And to me very obviously You Jade , have the Heart , the Mind and the Soul of a TRUE woman . embodying as You do Jade , all the essence and spirit of TRUE Ultimate Feminity !!

( But I ust don't know or understand enough about medical / technical terms to be able to make any meaningful comment , as others have done ) .

I feel certain that to all of those lucky enough to be able to make Your aquaintance , You Jade , are The TRUE , Ultimate woman !!

You would if You ever chose to do so , make any lucky man upon whom You chose to bestow Your favours , a True and Lovely and Wonderful Wife ( far far more so than any of 99.999% of " gg girls "! )

Just my Opinion of course , Jade !

Jade = Ultimate Woman !!!!!!!

Why do we try to classify EVERYTHING? If I'm attracted, I'll go for it. In my opinin I don't need a classification. I wouldn't pass up a good time because of a label, would you?

I mean compare this to music or a movie genre. If you normally listen to "rock" but like a couple of "hip hop" or "pop" songs does that make you any less of a rock fan? No, I didn't think so.

Do what feels rignt!

Jade, I quote this opinion because I would lovvvvvvvvve to get in your pants also... and would love you to be in mine also  . But again I must harp on this (Because I am a Harp), it's the sexual attraction to the PERSON, not the label. You want to know what the attraction is... it's the crotch reaction. There I've said it, I've put it on the table (please don't slam your drink down on it). The first attraction is the overall appearance. Then the killer is the EYES, when eye contact is made. Then all the other shit is processed like a machine to the brain.....
The smile....a huge plus. Hair?.... a turnon, for instance if you had great eyes and the look of Brad Pitt (for me, and I can only speak for myself) the attraction would end. Tit's ...a plus. No tits ...not a problem. A cock? ...... a lovely bonus. No cock, a yum also less toys. The curves.... the firm.... the roundness of the ass .....yum. There are so many out there who wish to convienently classify every one in a category. They create barriers to pure happiness due to preconceived notions. Am I a CD, TV, TG, Shemale, a gay in a wig, a part-time dresser, a full-time dresser, a closet gay, a bi (most popular), a chest of draws gay, a gay who loves time in the hay. chicks with dick, babes with balls, chicks who had balls but traded them in for a clit..................who cares. ARE THEY PRETTY TO YOU....DO THEY GET YOU STIMULATED? Then make whoopee to them like there's tomorrow. Fuck the classification...it's the PERSON not the opinion of the critics, who will always be sitting there on the sidelines with each other whacking it saying "That's Definately GAY!! Are you getting a hardon?" "No, man she has no tits....that would be gay!!! I'm still thinking of the last one with the big tits" "The one with the twelve inch cock?" "Yeah, that one!" "What if she was flat?" "No way Mannnn, that would be gay!!!!" "Yeah man, that's right...you ready to cummmmmmmmmm!" "Yeah man, I got to get up early and get to the gas station."

Anyway, Jade, labels suck. It all comes down to the person...CD,TV.TG, PBS, HBO, ASAP, DVD, VCR, a player to be named later....it doesn't matter........

By the way you have beautiful eyes and I do get a chubber looking at you....

Ed the Harp :)

Well... calling me a TV isn't entirely right... here's a pic of me with unaltered breasts... http://www.tgirltease.com/guest3.html

Price I paid for boobs... hormones.
Price I paid for plastic surgery... $0
I like what God gave me :D

Welcome to the board, Kalina.

You're right, you don't exactly fit my description of a TV either. I definitely wasn't trying to down you, you make a pretty girl. TV seems to be the middle ground. Like some of the guys said and like Jade said in the beginning: The line gets blurry in some cases.

I guess the more important thing would be what do you call yourself or what does the guy who cares about you thinks to a lesser extent.

In thinking about this, this is the girls equivalent of "Are guys who like Tgirls Gay, Bi, or straight?" I never thought of it that way until just now. It's a very big spectrum in there.

Again though, welcome to the board, stick around. Your perspective would be interesting.

If you're a crossdresser or doing drag shows you're not a real transsexual.

I know several transsexuals, both pre- and post-op, who would disagree with that. Some do drag shows because they like to be entertainers. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, many transsexuals started off as drag queens.

I call myself an "in-betweener" although some would argue I'm a transsexual while others would say I'm "just a crossdresser"... but do I look like a football player in drag? Nope. Did I always feel like a woman trapped in a man's body? Hell, yes, ever since I was 4 years old. I've been presenting myself as female mostly part-time, but with small periods of full-time, over the years. Every guy (and girl) seems to have a different perspective on what a transsexual is and that's cool. I don't judge.

Kalina, I think we all fall in that gray area, whether we like it or not. You definitely gave me a fresh perpective to look at here.

Like I said, stick around, you definitely bring something to the table that hasn't been brought yet. We need a fresh, articulate perspective sometimes.
