I'm frusrated with my brother, although I care for him very much. He is a very talented artist specializing in trompe loile, home murals, and faux finishing. He has so much more talent than I could ever even dream of.

The problem is that he doesn't take advantange of opportunites when they arise. I'm embarrased that he still lives with my parents because he could do so much better. My parents don't want to disown him, they love him as much as they love me. I love my brother too, but I can't make him understand that he has to put his pride aside, maybe get a regular job, and call me sometimes.

How do you deal with your siblings? Thanks!

Haha! What the hell, I'll dissect this post:

Your brother is, in your opinion at least, a talented artist. He does not "take advantage of opportunities" according to you. I imagine this means he hasn't become wealthy yet and graced you with his magnificence. Maybe he just doesn't like you and couldn't care less of your expectations of him.

Brutal honesty is always just that, but at least it's not bullshit.

Oh well, Honda, thanks for your input. And thank you for your brutal honesty. No bullshit. Take care, Star.

Go to Dr. Phil's website with that. This board is about tranny porn, escort reviews, info and advice for the discerning traveller who wants to know about tranny bars in the city they are visiting, and you'll get the ocassional random convo about dick size, pretty faces, and getting topped by a t-girl.

For my two cents worth -- YOUR BROTHER IS AN ARTIST. They're flighty like that. The better the artist the weirder and flightier. Maybe you should sponsor some if his work. But I'm no Dr. Phil. Just a perv who comes on this board for escort reviews.

I stay as far away from my immediate family as possible. The relationship is 100 times better for us that way as they are always happy when they see me.

I love my parents & brothers to death but I've always been independent, ya know the one who always had a job, a direction, a plan, never needed their money or their input.

No disrespect Star but you seem like me in that aspect, you have your shit together whereas your brother does not. He's not your problem, but he will be when your folks are in a position where they can no longer help him out, so I understand and respect your desire for him to better himself and humble himself into getting a job to make ends meet but it's really out of your hands.

Just be there as best you can for the time being.....

Chuck, Thanks, but no thanks. You didn't help me at all.

How does his brother not have his shit together? All that's been revealed so far is that he's an artist of some sort, living with his parents. That seems very noble to me. What is expected of this guy?

This thread reminds me of the few weeks I roomed in a boarding house with a deaf stunt woman. True story. It's probably not as interesting as keeping a steady job, heh, but I looked through scrap books with this girl (I think her name was Kitty O'Neal, or something) when she was on the set of "The Blues Brothers" and other movies.

We ate toast and blabbed about stupid shit during the morning. She was pretty cool. She told me that John Landis eventually killed John Balushi, by feeding him coke. I just ate my toast and thought "damn. . . that sounds like a pretty shitty deal".

True story.

It's not much of a story. I honestly avoided her up until she slapped open her photo collection on the kitchen table. The shitty deal on my part was that I shunned contact with her initially because I didn't want to deal with some "deaf chick" in a boarding house. Very shitty on my part.

It's a true story, it happened in Elk River, Minnesota (she might still live there, as far as I know).

TC? I'm in Minneapolis. We don't call it The Twin Cities here. Saint Paul sucks.

Hmmm. I've been to N. Minneapolis. Not good. St. Paul is more refined.
