Has anyone ever photographed a TS lady and gave them all the pictures you shot for just for the delight of photographing them? I'm a professional photographer, just not models, but I shoot everything from flowers to aircraft.. Just wondering if anyone has had success in that.. not point an shoot camera guys, real pros with good equipment.. Like to know what to expect like was your gear safe, did she let you pose her, did she let you pick the clothing......

if shes as professional as you claim to be there shouldnt be any probs

just like legit gg models

ts models need direction and will appreciate it just as much as any other pro model

a) Expect her not to show up at the appointment, or
b) expect her to show up 3 hours without any make-up, outfits, etc.
c) expect her to spend 2 hours "getting ready" and then
d) about an hour on the phone with some friend(s)
e) expect her to want to get paid something at the end, even though it's free photo shoot for her, because she expects to get paid for breathing,
f) expect her to lose the first 2 or 3 CD's you make for her wit the pics,
g) expect her to want you to spend 100 hours photoshopping the living crap out of every single shot,
h) Expect her to pretend she doesn't know you the next time you meet after you do all this for her, except if she feels that now that she knows you, you should by her drinks all night at the next tranny party you meet at.

Don't expect
a) her to call you to set up for the shoot even after she asks you 7 times, takes your card a dozen times, and gets angry when she sees you because you promised her a shoot and haven't done it yet,
a) Anything resembling a "thank you",
b) any acknowledgment when she uses the photos commercially,
c) her not to think you're really a trick and this is hat you get off on so she should get paid her escort rates.

Yes,

a number of times and it was a pleasurable experience and I was as professional as I could be. It was thrilling for me and for the girls, they said I gave them a fantasy of being an on location model. I wish I could post the photos here, but I respect their privacy.

T-girl, gg, guy..........just trea tthem with respect and professionalism and you will find people to shoot with. Helps alot if you have a strong portfolio to show them.

With all due respect slinky, thats unfair and a bit harsh. If a legitimate photographer wants to do a freebie shoot I would be on time, professional, ready to go and enthusiastic. I'm sure I'm not alone here.

I've had offers in the past, free shoots from professionals, but they were calling too often, and made me feel uncomfortable. One guy called like 20 times, then said, "hey Melissa, I'm in your area, can I stop by?" That weirded me out, I mean I didn't even know him. My point: sometimes guys use the cover of photographer to get close to a girl, TS, GG whatever.

I agree it is unfair. Also, you are right how some photogs can be creepy and use it to get near a girl. (gg, tg.....whatever)

One of my three girls I shot asked for a LITTLE photoshopping which was easy enough, but honestly all three were really really great experiences I will cherish as a photographer and as a person.

That being said if anyone here does want a free shoot feel free to private message me and I also have other friends who are good with a camera as well.

Melissa:

You're a professional with her own website and I think you are too used to what you would do in the situation. But 98% of the girls aren't, so they don't. So, the question was what to expect. I think (a) it's obvious enough I was being somewhat facetious that to call me harsh acting as if everything I wrote was dead-on serious is somewhat silly, and (b) in reality, things aren't that far off from what I wrote WHEN IT'S A PAID SHOOT with a lot of girls. Just talk to anyone who actually shoots adult for a living: it's pretty endemic.

Or even just ask any of the party promoters about their average experience with girls who have been hired to dance and what their reliability rate is.

Slinky - did you steal that list from my wallet?
It might be unfair to ALL models but after the years working in the industry it pretty much hits the nail on the head.

I have had calls from models asking if a certain photographer whom I had never heard of, worked for us as he claimed to shoot for "Grooby" - this seems to happen a lot (not just for us but they claim to work for websites).

Yes I'd love to have a free photo shoot if it weren't for stories like this one. How the hell do you know who you can trust? I guess the answer is that you have no idea who you can really trust unless you are dealing with someone like seanchai that everyone who knows anything about tgirls has heard of.

A lot of effort goes in to the pics that I post here. For every 9 to 12 pics that I post there are probably 30 more that go in the delete file. Everything from lighting, to setting to, facial expression, to body posture, to ideas for new poses, to what to wear, to makeup goes in to these pics. Then everything in a picture can be perfect but one thing like centering the camera, or having the flash work right, or something else small will be messed up, and it ruins the whole picture I'm not complaining because I love posting them but it would be nice to have some help that I could actually trust with taking them once in a while.

At the risk of sounding completely ignorrant.......
What is TFP?

ALYSINCLAIRxxx
11-20-2008, 11:05 PM
TFP = Time for Print

Meaning, no pay, trade for work only. And, the model gets shots to use either on disk on actually print.

Thanks ALYSINCLAIR. I hate sounding so dumb, but if I don't ask I won't know. A release form would at least show that someone is professional but ultimately there is nothing to stop them from violating it, and even if recourse is successfully taken against them once it reaches that point the damage is pretty much done IMO.

Just trusting someone enough to meet them is hard enough. Look at the skeezy guy Melissa was talking about. No amount of paperwork in the world would allow me trust someone that acted like that.
