What's worse is that you are distracting from a question that actually does have a serious side. Transformation is EXPENSIVE, and just maintaining a beauty regime, and wardrobe isn't cheap. What's more society marginalizes transgendered people in such a way that it is often difficult for a Tgirl to get or keep a decent paying job. Why do you think so many Tgirls are escorts, because they are sex crazed shemales that love topping old fat hairy guys? That's hardly the case. It's because it is one of the very few ways that they can make the money they need to pay the bills, and fund their transformation. What happens to them when they are to old to be a sex worker any more though? The average person works about 47 to 50 years. If a Tgirl started as an escort at 18 she would be fortunate to work even 30 years. How does a girl make up for 20 years worth of work? How does she get health insurance, how is she going to provide for herself when she is a senior citizen. What health complications might she develope in her senior years because she is trangendered? These are all legitimate concerns for a Tgirl, that you have marginalized with your cheap swipe at me. Why don't you stop and think about how you are treating people the next time you want to post something you think is funny that might hurt others.

First, one must remember AIDs wiped out many "old school" trannies from the 1980's and 1990's. From club kid drag queens, to trannie porn stars, escorts and such, so the population today is going to be smaller than is statistically should have been.

What and how a trannie ages and where she ends up in later years is going to depend on may factors, just as there are many different "trannies".

Obviously a TS who had or has a good job, education and does not bother with the scene is going to age differently and or have a different "golden years", than a girl who knows nothing but the streets and or ads.

However there are a few old girls still plugging away. Christy Love, IIRC is still on Eros.com. Summer St.Cerly supposedly is still around in Europe. There are also a few old school girls still around (those AIDS drugs work wonders). surviving the best they know how.

From what I've seen there are several outcomes for "older" shemales.

Some go back into boys clothes, or close to it.

Some settle down with a lesbian either as a trannie or something resembling.

Some are sent to their graves by suicide, murder, over dose, disease and other health related issues.

The flip side to there being so many trannies out there today, many of them working, is that the shelf life of "older" girls keeps going down.

In the days of China Kitty, Summer St. Cerly, Angie and such, there was pretty much only a handful of girls around. With such a tight market, girls could work longer and remain profitable. However with so much choice of young things out there, the older girls have a hard time.

Many girls try to get onto welfare, especially if they live in generous states such as NY. Girls who are HIV+ in NYS can get housing assistance and other welfare benefits.

I've known several older transwomen over the years. My current doctor is an older TS, so was my electrologist. I have a friend who is transitioning right now and she's a longtime engineer, and quite successful.

People who have professional jobs, high education, and or come from wealth, tend to live comfortably, and people who are not wealthy just keep on struggling to get by. That's life, TS or not.

I have met some older transwomen who actually were trans when they were relatively young, and lived through the last 20 30 40 50 years as transsexuals. They look just fine for their age. Total fish as they say. The ones that I have gotten to talk to at length are really cool people to boot.

April Ashley, who recently wrote the book “First Lady” is my heroine... beautiful and intelligent lady, with some looks that were and still are to die for! She is so inspiring.

I also know personally 2 ts women in their 60s - 70ish... they were stealth most of their lives, married multiple times (lol) and very intelligent.

I think their success was attributed to their complete adaptation to their true gender in EVERY SITUATION. Even though they had to fight more discrimination than we currently do, they had a bigger chance to live a common lifestyle once they became naturally passable, as they lived in a world that was not TS aware. There was no way to google them, and no video industry to "teach" how to spot us.

Now, that we look more passable than any of our old sisters ever dreamed of, with the most scientific improvements ever, plastic surgery at its best, and tons of money that we have spent in our transitions, we still struggle to leave our bio history in the past… And oh boy, it hurts when someone knows… because, they just know… The challenged of a trans aware society that keep labeling us and does not let us just be women (or just men for trans guys) is bigger now, fortunately, our resources are also bigger than ever before, as we are just a few more thousands dollars away to make the once unachievable come true!

HIV is spread via body fluids, mainly blood and semen, and to a lesser extent certian others, but not tears, sweat or saliva.

Trannies who give uncovered BJ's and or engage in unprotected anal sex are at high risk (as is anyone else), for contracting HIV.

There is also the problem of hormone injections and or drug abuse in the trannie community using shared needles, which can be contaminated by HIV virus.

A woman's vaginal fluid is not as great a vector for HIV virus as say blood or semen. However if the woman is HIV+ and there are tears or lesions in or around her vagina (rough sex, disease), and there is bleeding, infection can occur.

HIV is a very big problem in the TS community because many of the men who fancy trannies engage in risky sexual acts, such as uncovered oral or anal sex. Once the chaser is infected he goes on to infect other trannies and so forth.

I think trans-women aren't immune to aging. And like everybody else some become incontinent and wears pampers (or worst catheters), develops diabetes, gets Alzheimer's or suffer dementia, gets colostomy bags etc. and are shipped by their relatives to a retirement community, board and care facilities or worst convalescent homes to wait for their time IF they made it past their primes.

Is that realistic enough for you?

Well, I've never been a shemale, so I can't accurately answer that
question.

In terms of aging, I'll be getting a Brazilian butt lift in a few months.

As to my skin, thanks to my Mom, and the fact 'that Black don't crack'
my skin still looks great.

As regards my career, and earning a decent living, I have no major
complaints.

I still think this is a valid question - I think perhaps the first post was too focused on the physical though.

I recently met a t-girl in the UK who escorts, she has many pictures of herself on her website, looking absolutely stunning.

These were obviously taken years ago - in real life she looks much older and has lost her looks a little.
