I don't know much about rap but i do know about rappers I've represented in legal cases. If Nas= Nasir Jones, he indeed does not have two millon. This is a great rumor for him.

i dont think any rapper is stupid enough to pay 2 million for a beat and i dont think there is a beat out there worth 2 mill. and if there is it would probably be from em, dre or tim cause they make some of the best beats to me.

dont think this shit is true. nas is one of the few rappers who still care about makin quality music and wouldnt spend millions on some beat that would make him appear more mainstream than street. most of the neptunes beats are overrated in my opinion

To date there have only been 6 hip hop albums released this year that have sold over 150K units. It would be ridiculous for any label of any genre of music to purchase a share of a beat (remember the producer gets royalty fees ontop of that purchase price) for $2million dollars. Hell, I wouldn't do a combined 13 track cd for $2 million.
