No more than 3-4 blocks. I would concetrate my search at Rua Major Sertório, from Rua Amaral Gurgel to Rua Rego Freitas, in the corner of Elenice Bar (sounds like Heleneecy), a famous t-girls spot for streetwalking.

Then, at Elenice take the right, at rua Rego Freitas, to the next corner. They are all there.

You may walk around at night, as the place is full of night clubs. Just be careful not to carry all your money with you. With some 200-300 reais you shall have a hell of a night.

I am going back to Sampa soon and will make my contribution to the T-economy.
