They age just like anyone else. I think when you say shemale you are referring to entertainers, escorts and the like. But the majority of TS's are not in that business and just lead normal lives.

In fact, there is an interesting show on Discovery Channel or TLC called Taboo, where each week they look at different taboos. One week they looked at transgenderism, and followed an American person getting sex change surgery in Thailand.

They said the average age of an American person getting that surgery was 50. So yes there are middle aged transexuals.

Then I finally had the chance to meet her and go to a dinner party with her. And you know what, she does not photograph well but when you see her in person, she does not look as shocking or bizzare. She looks different, but for some reason in pictures she looks almost like she is wearing a mask, but in person no.

I have seen her severla times out since, and she is truly kind, friendly, and extremely sweet.

I'd like to have her job of wealthy socialite ;).
