Doubt these financial troubles will be good for most entertainment companies. See the deals most of these porn sites are offering now? Less subscribers=less cash flow=less money to pay girls=uh oh.

Porn will always make money. The general entertainment business is another question, and it's a question the main club I work for took into consideration a week ago. We use to pour an average of 2.5 oz. of booze per drink, we just dialed it down to 1.5 oz. Doesn't seem like much, does it? BTW the average pour is 1 oz.

If a club sells over 1000 drinks a night, and it saves 1 oz. of booze per drink, that's 1000 oz. of booze saved every night, and we still charge the same price. We went from way over pouring, to slightly above average, and we bank 30 bottles on average every night.

That's the how the market corrects itself. People will always pay for entertainment. In our case, the customers have to deal with weaker drinks for awhile, but the staff can continue to pay their bills and provide the entertainment the public expects.

That's show biz.

You might see fewer porn epics like "Pirates". Anything that might require borrowing money.

Less money in people's pockets = less money to spend on porn.

Online porn is a reasonably cheap form of entertainment compared to some other avenues but we're still be very careful and not investing too much - even though we have some new sites about to come out.

One thing which I am worried about: since it's a credit crunch, we may see some anti-adult website behaviour on the part of the credit card companies - like turning the scrub WAYYYYYYYYY up. The other thing which may happen is that the group of members who sort of forgot they joined and don't check their CC statements every month really carefully may go down and send rebill rates lower.

Don't economic crisis's encourage entertainment venues? Seems when times are abnormally bad, people resort to using entertainment as a way to escape from the hardships & worries of reality.
