Five Reasons You Should Register To Vote

5. The youth vote is sadly underestimated by party analysts.
4. The biggest election issues often directly effect the youth of the nation.
3. The only way democracy works is if citizens, young and old, are active participants.
2. If you don't vote you really have no right to complain about government decisions you don't like (no matter how much they actually suck).
1. Bottom line: you should vote because you can.

Please visit our website http://www.stoppingthehate.com and register to vote today. There is a link at the top right on the front page where you can register to vote.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

It's really important for people to register to vote and then of course, show up to vote. If the younger population of our country would vote it would change the course our country is on right now. It's time for a change and we can be the change.

people should do more than just vote. voting is the absolute least you can do, and quite honestly has little effect on how the country is run. you're not an 'active participant' if the only thing you do is cast a vote or 'campaign' for obama or mccain.

Agreed, and as you can see our website Stopping The Hate is an active participant in bringing issues to the table that are happening in the world and trying to bring about a positive change to these issues.

great thread, vote for everyone not just the folks seeking the Oval Office. Vote for that person who wants to become a local Congressman who is knocking on your door saying "Mr. Walker I'm not a witness of jehova!!!!!" claiming they'll fix your streets, etc.

Vote for those things they try to slip under the covers that will affect your daily living in the long run, like energy bill concepts, etc.

And while the younger generation is important, wake up that neighbor next door who always swears his/her vote means nothing because of the electoral college and drag their ass to the voting booth.....
