Not for nothing, but I don't care for the guy at all. Don't see how he can be a role model for anyone. A blatantly gay male who denies it over and over again--- it'd be different if it wasn't so obvious.
I was offended when he stated people think he's gay because he's from North Carolina and has strong morals. WTF?! Only gay people live in NC? Only gay people have morals? People think you're gay because you're a flamer! I didn't even watch idol. First time I saw the guy was on the cover of USA Today, and I was like "is that supposed to be a guy or an ugly girl"
Don't get me started on his alledged homosexual trysts!!! People like Clay give people REASONS to hate. The guy is a piece of work, but yeah hurray for being honest enough to tell people something they already knew--- it didn't take ya THAT long!
