I Think Bi-Racial Is A More Accurate Term

I don't really see anything offensive about it, if it's simply used as a descriptor. What would be offensive is if that is all people used to define him, as in nothing but his race mattered.

Reading is fundamental....

That makes him mulatto. Or if that is too harsh a term, bi racial.

both of you are slow

hes sow for thinking hes being rasict, and you are for harping on something that isnt an issue, especially to those of whom the comment MAY offend.

As far as I know, mulatto is just a term for someone of black & white mixed race. Bi-racial is more generic & could work with any 2 races. I'm sure people have used the term in a derogatory manner, but I'm unaware of the term being derogatory in itself.

The Ku Klux Klan teaches that the mixing of white and black people would create a race of mongrels. Isn't it ironic that when you mix black and white people together, you get some of the most beautiful people?

I think mixed children, especially girls, are absolutely adorable. They look like little island kids. I'd love to have a few. I had a relationship for years with a girl who was black and white. She's was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever known. Then she turned Catholic and would no longer see me because I'm an Atheist. Tis tis ... there are many shades and colors of prejudice. It's not only a racial issue.

How true. Palin wants creationism taught in the schools. After the republicans stack the supreme court, this anti-scientific bias will become a reality, as will the continuation of the restrictions on stem cell research, and the right of a woman to her own body.

I wonder if she'll relax her position on these issues now that she has a shot at being VP? There are liberal republicans as well as liberal democrats and liberal independents such as myself.

Don't bet on it. The base was only reluctantly behind McCain. They might not have voted democratic, but they might not have voted at all. One of Palin's functions is to energize those bible thumping, pro-family values (as if the rest of us our anti-family), anti-gay, anti-science (i.e. anti-elitist) folks.

all you mullatos and mullatas need to stop being so sensitive. what do you not want us to call black people black and white people white? so i have to refer to half breeds as bi-racexual now? I know plenty of people who are mullato and refer to themselves as such proudly. Who even gives a shit what someone called negrobama on a shemale porn forum? Does it really deserve to be a poll in the politics section? How is that related to politics, is stoked soac now running for public office? And who's the corny dick cheese who turned it into an allicia keys fansite? does alicia keys have a penis? I don't think so.

and listen, no matter what the liberal news media says, the republican base would NEVER vote for someone like obama and would vote for pretty much anyone running the republican ticket, even if it was pro-choice jew like leiberman. Palin is for swing voters.

The right might've hoped Palin, by virtue of her gender, could pick up the swing voters, but she's way to radical for the middle of the road crowd.

By the way, what liberal news media are you talking about. The media's largely owned by Rupert Murdoch and others of his ideological perspective. Most of the media is just a circus. It provides a setting against which to do business; i.e. sell ads. Marketers like the niche audiences provided by the likes of MSNBC and FOX news hacks.

murdoch might own a lot of newspapers and some tv stations but that doesn't mean he controls the individual newscasters who are notoriously biased. Just watch pretty much any news station besides fox slants to the left. fox is of course to the right, and also the station murdoch owns. Also most newspapers are ridiculously left leaning. There's a difference between asking questions and outright favoritism. This election, for example, they are very critical of mccain when he makes a mistake, meanwhile obama slides through any sort of gaffe because the media love him and would rather look the other way. No one asked if obama would be able to raise his children if he was elected, the same question was asked of palin, etc.

I do watch and I do read and that's just nonsense. You just don't know where the center is.

If the media is center is still biased towards the center. The point is not to give a centerist point a view, the point is to present the news as it is without a particular spin, even if that spin is "down the middle." You honestly don't think fox news is biased? If you really don't see that all media outlets have some sort of bias trish you're living in a fantasy land.b

I never said the media was center, did I? But if you think it's predominately left leaning then you lost track of the center. Probably because you've imbibed too much of the right wing media.

All the major news media is biased, towards the side of sucking.

The major news outlets are all part of large corporations, their #1 goal is making money, thats the reality. The reason Fox News tilts toward the right is that they saw a demand that wasn't being met by the other news outlets, at least in the minds of many viewers.

People love to hear shit they agree with.
