Word to the wise -- the ceremony begins with the entrance of the countries and athletes - it takes 80 minutes; the ceremony then begins.

Keep an eye out for the British athlete that carries both of his "crutches" above his head, waving them around, and jumping up and down while walking the entire circumference of the track/walkway in The Birds Nest Stadium ... seems he magically recovered after his entry fees were paid.

Also, the trombonist that seems to have forgotten to push the valves on his horn while playing half of his 5 minute routine ... those notes must previous minutes must have carried on forever it seems.

The ceremony is MUCH less "Chinese" in presentation as the normal Olympics, but entertaining nonetheless.

Any links?

They use valve trombones (or super trombones) in the paralympics opening ceremony?
