Gotta add that I am so proud of my daughter. She has no clue about my attraction to Trans Gendered woman, but when those other contestants started talking crap about Isis, she was calling BS on them. She commented that Isis is a beautiful girl and will give the others a real run for the money. Yup, I am a bit proud that I raised my daughters to be open minded and accepting of others and that it takes all of us to make this world go around. There have been both post and pre-op transgender high fashion models before, on both sides of the Atlantic, some even doing major runway shows in Europe and the United States. Just ask anyone who has really worked in the industry. As a former "top model" herself Tyra Banks probably knows this and may have even known a few of the "girls".

What Ms. Banks did, to her credit, is to put it "out there" for the world to see.

Have said it before, and it is worth repeating, the more positive images of transgender persons there are in the media, showing the world not all are "men in dresses" and or sex workers, the better the cause is advanced for all. Last television season we had Candis Kayne, now this.

Not too long ago being gay on television was either taboo, or shown as a gag or joke, well not anymore. You can't fling a dead cat without hitting a gay man or couple on prime time television. From cooking shows, to home renovation/construction shows, to "Desperate Housewives", news reporters and so on...

Things are now at the point that being gay,and even gay and married to another man or woman is becoming accepted as normal in many parts of the United States, and world. Momentum needs to build to include transgender persons as well, otherwise we are going to be like the red headed step-children at a family reunion picnic.

Am sure many know this and it probaly has been shown on "Top Model", but many of the coaches who teach girls how to strut for the runway are either femmey gay guys, drag queens or out right trannies. Just look at how some of the runway superstar models in the 1980's, 1990's and perhaps even today walk,and compare it to the girls who do the "Balls". So we have the chicken and the egg question, which came first!

GG girls will almost always come for a trannie, especially when there is money, fame, and or men involved. Once they throw the worst at her (ie, being a trannie), what else do they have? Don't think Tyra and her people would put the girl on just to be humliated in national television.

I agree that they would not cast Isis on the show to be humliated on national television, nothing to gain and much to lose, especially with the entertainment and fashion industry being comprised of a such a diverse group of individuals. You have to wonder if in the selection process, the judges consider the various comments of the contestants that they show during the show. If so, that blond girl "Clark" from South Carolina may not be around for long. Her comments such as "that girl has no business being on this show" and "she is gone" are caddy and mean spirted will come back to bite her flat ass. She is also dumb as a post "hmm, can you tell me what bureaucracy means?" and finally, she is just not that attractive, a plain not so hot blond with attitude.

Not a show I have watched before, but I will tune in to follow the progress of Isis. I wish her continued success.

I thought that the show was totally exploitive and didn't represent the community in the proper fashion. RNC was just a nod to the Republican National Convention for John McCain some of us were tuned into while Top Model was on. I'm a Democrat but I couldn't miss a minute of the coverage on CNN and MSNBC (I can't stand Fox so not there) since I'm into politics. I personally made a reference to not having been as nervous for anyone as much for Isis as someone else. The other person I had in mind was Barack Obama but enough of that since this is not the place for a political rant. I cringe when I see Isis in every challenge hoping she'll make it to the next stage and not get bumped off.
