My sitting today with artist Charles Miller

One of the highest compliments someone can pay you, in my opinion, is having an artist paint a portrait of you.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a big fan or art, especially modern art, and a fan of my friend Charlse Miller.

Charles is someone I met through his wife Amy Sohn (best selling author and author of the pieces I was featured in New York Magazine), we quickly became friends as he is a fascinating person. Those two are one creative dynamic duo! Charles is an amazing paintor. I love his work because it's so realistic and always evokes emotion in me. His work has an air of melancholy to it and it's so rich with emotion that I am always moved by what he paints. We had been talking about doing a sitting together forever now, but our schedules never matched.

Today I had a sitting with him for an upcoming project of his in which I will be featured in. I think it went really well, and I am so excited to see his interpretation of me when it's all done.

The stuff I just saw on his website reminds me of: porn book covers, old post cards, calendar art, combined with great portrait work. Cool art.

His art "smells" like an old magazine no-one else has seen before. I like it.
