Probably stupid but I'll ask anyway.

When someone says they are a top or bottom what exactly does that mean? And does it go beyond sex? If you say you are a bottom does that mean you are always or mostly submissive. That you are the one getting fucked, sucking dick, and more the girl in the relationship. Can you be a bottom and not be into anal as a taker and the same with a top but not be into anal as a giver?

When you tell someone you are a top or bottom how are you expecting to be treated?

Basically you answered you own questions. A "top" is the person doing the penetrating wether its anal or oral and the "bottom" is the one being penetrated. Some folks like to do both and they are referred to as "versatile"...

Top and Bottom terms come from the gay community and ultimately derive from the missionary position, where the woman is laying on her back. To say one is a Top thus indicates that only either exclusively or predominately prefers to be the penetrator, and to say one is Bottom is to announce that you like to be the penetratee. However, while for some saying that you're bottom may indicate a tendency to submissiveness, it certainly doesn't imply that in all cases. Being submissive means that your main desire is to do whatever your partner commands (and that could include topping her). Bottom and top directly concern who is the receiving person in anal sex, so therefore you can't be bottom and not be into receiving anal (though you can be submissive and not be into receiving anal--though your mistress may have something to say about that).

When you say you are bottom, you are telling your partner that you want her to penetrate you; when you say you are top, you are telling her that you want to be the one doing the penetrating. Dominance/submission is something else. And as canihavu says, if you want to do both, you are versatile.

There are no stupid questions only stupid people who ask questions.
