So my life took a couple, good and different turns for me lately. seems it all happened at once. I was ask by an organization that I used to work for, and went back as a volunteer, to come back as a paid employee. Due to funding, its part time and the moment, and being I enjoy working with my peers and educating people on transgendered issues, I do alot of volunteer overtime. I also wrote my first article for a local newspaper here in Chicago, in our Puerto Rican community, La Voz. I'm excited! I am also the cordinator of a new gay and trans support group! All me! I have to do so many things that I enjoy doing. Feels good. Secondly I had mentioned and made a post about relationships. Well, the person I was dating in NYC has been here with me for the last 2 weeks. Things are going well and amazing for me. I am with a man who believes that the man is the provider, and the woman is a queen. He prefers to be the bread winner of the household, and goes the extra mile to look after me. I myself was surprised. As he is a male escort, and only 22. Honestly our life together is going well and I can say I don't feel like a ts dating a hustler. I feel like a woman, for the first time in my life I feel "normal". And it feels good. Who would have though? Me in a caring relationship, with a "real" job! I have also noticed I'm not as crabby and snappy, a bit more forgiving! I'll still be around guys, I'll post pics and comments still! But its a bit early in our relationship to say what the future holds, but its going in a positive direction! So ladies, don't give up. Though rare and few, there are good men out there! Kisses!!!!!!!!!

OH GIRL
When you get my age and go thru what I've gone thru, trust me, you will understand.
I think if I had somebody to school me when I was your age, I may have turned out different. Or at least have been prepaired. When I was 22 I still had never seen a gay club, a ball, shady queens, evil queens, none of that. At 22 I was in cosmetology school in a boring town called East Chicago, Indiana with a straight boyfriend. I guess I got a late start at gay life. But have always been able to survive and be productive in the straight world. I'm thinking now I can mix the 2.

Well not totally done. Now I do it when I feel its convient for ME.
I have come to the understanding with my boyfriend, I will only top with clients, and only if the price is right. I have done a client with my boyfriend, so if that comes along again we will work as a team. We are also going to work on marketing photosets and video, nothing big, but just for kicks. The guy I did work for was filming and selling poorly edited clips of me and Kelly on Clips4Sale, so we are just going to edit and market there first and see how it goes.
Oh and now most definatly taking my drag and pageant career to the next level!

I am also happy to see someone is growing and progressing. The key as I see it was that you were giving of yourself by volunteering before. I do believe that you have the life experience to teach others. The issue is not with you, it is about whether the larger society is willing to open up enough to learn. Jesus was an open person. He accepted a woman as a friend, who others were going to stone to death, Mary Magdeline. He recognized that she had something valuable to give, and that was love. You also have some valuable things to give.

As far as your 'love life', half the battle is being able to accept being loved. Accept the truth, and admit that you are a lovable person!
