I can't see neither the animated avatar of partlycloudy nor Ectatic's avatar....just static pictures.....am I the only one?....or is it a problem of this board?

In IE, check this. Go to tools, internet options, advanced, under the multimedia section, see if "Play animations in web pages" is checked. If not, check it and reload the page.
