2 Stars from me. I think it's somewhat lost it's appeal for some reason. The only thing I came to look forward was Mulder and Scully being together! lol The story line of the whole movie failed to make me jump in my seat or leave me wanting a 3rd movie.

I'm going to see it in 2 weeks when it opens in Holland. I was a HUGE Xfile fan of the show. Best serie ever in my opinion. The only thing I don't like about this movie is the fact that they don't go on with the Alien mythologie.

And I know what happened in the show but it would have been cool if they could have bring back some regulars from the show also like Walter Skinner, Alvin Kersh, Gibson Praise, The Lone Gunmen, The Cigarette Smoking Man, The Alien Bounty Hunter and Jeremiah Smith for example.

I've been hearing that from other people as well, which is why I went to see Stepbrother instead (which was funny as hell). So why would they release this film this month anyway with hardly no promotion and with Darknight, Hancock a list of other must see movies fighting for attention! It's a shame to because I to have all 9 seasons on dvd. And was looking forward to this movie but instead of a movie they wait 7 years to give us just another episode.... A boring one at that. I guess I'll just rent it.

I want to see alien rebels, colonists, black oil, and/or alien bounty hunters. And Krycek for sure, maybe even bring back a syndicate member or two, though some of them are probably too old now.

Scully was not interested in the x-file itself, adding Skinner was just a cheesy cameo, and it pretty much shuts doors that Mulder and Scully won't be working on any more x-files/paranormal stuff, even in one's imagination. So 2-2.5 stars.

the story didn't seem like a real x-file to me. you can replace mulder and scully with anybody and it's just a regular thriller. as a fan, i honestly don't know why they even made this movie.

The series has been over fox six years and off the air for a damn long time.

I don't get why they didn't realize that this was guaranteed to be a flop.

I think Duchovny is a good actor, but he just needs to find another role that'll fit him right. It'll happen eventually. As for Gillian, her career is over, so I think she should start looking for work at McDonald's. :shock:
