First time I ever had any interaction with a tg was at a midnite showing of Rocky Horror in Chicago. My high school girlfriend dragged me to it and it was packed with freaks and cross-dressers. When my girlfriend went to the bathroom the tranvestite that was sitting next to us reached over and stroked my cock through my jeans til she got back.

Good times.

Rocky Horror played every weekend at our local Uptown Theatre, one of my sisters was a regular at the show starting when she was 13. I never went, although I did ask a girl I was dating if she wanted to check it out once.

"What are you, gay?!" she asked. Heh. True story.

I watched it once it came out on tape, and I think it's horribly over rated. It is a pop culture icon as far as the audience participation goes, though.

I wouldn't call it the 'greatest', but it was certainly groundbreaking in many ways. An amazing number of comic and SF/Fantasy writers and artists trace their roots back to the RHPS and its odd mix of genres (Classic film, gender-bending, rock/musical, surrealism, etc.) as either inspiration or a turning point in their life towards later achievements. The film/vid is still a well-attended Saturday midnite staple at many of the larger SF and comic cons.

It also served as a sort of wake-up call to many people as far as where their sexuality and gender identity were headed. Less than a decade after Stonewall it tested the mainstream with alternate gender and sexual roles previously kept hidden.

Susan Sarandon, better than viagra.

I had never seen this movie until last year (because I live under a rock) and I almost cried I was so hot for Susan Sarandon (I've seen her at protests and I had no idea she was that hot when she was younger).

I'm on the board of directors of Soonercon (it's a scifi/fantasy convention in OK) and we a live shadowcast of the movie this year. We were having our Christmas party in December and the topic of casting came up. I'd never seen the movie before, and the con's chairman says: "I know who would make a perfect Rocky, Alan!" Now, never having seen the movie, I, of course volunteered. They then made me pinky swear that I'd do the part. I figured, how bad could it be? That was when they sat me down and showed me the movie.

Never one to back out of anything, I went ahead and agreed to do the part. I even had a gold lame eyepatch made to match the gold bikini. Attached is an aftershow pic of me still wearing the feather boa that went along with my floorshow outfit: which I, thankfully, wasn't still wearing.
