What do you want to see in the party photos?

I've been taking photos at some of the parties for a few of the promoters lately. Recently I've gotten a bunch of not too kind suggestions at to what I can do with them. The one consistent request from guys is cock shots or bulges, but it seems the girls are not into that. Also, I don't take shots of any girl who requests "no photos".

So, what should I be doing?

First, thank all of you who make the effort and time to not only take the pictures at these events, but to also share them here at this site. I certainly appreciate the effort.
Secondly, screw aiming for the bulge and cock shots (Don't these guys leave anything for the imagination?!). Given my druthers, I would prefer as many scantily clad shots of these women as possible; bikini shots being my favorite (Think Tennler.Think flesh!). This is hard for 2 reasons:
Firstly, it's hard to to without getting guys in he backgrounds of the shots, and I always try not to have any guys in the frame if possible.
Secondly, they girls don't like be "surprised" by candids, and the low light situation makes it impossible to take non-flash photos.
But I'll try to see what I can get. Thank you.

Yes, that's cool. I understand your point about the candids. If they were from a distance maybe they wouldn't be upset by it? Just a thought. What I like most about the party photos though is that they represent something real that you can actually go to and participate in. I've been to a couple of these parties when I have been in New York and had a blast. Really it's all good stuff though. Keep posting em.

I didnt read this thread completely the only thing i can suggest is for you to take pictures of the ladies, Id prefer to look at half naked to fully naked women, I wouldnt worry about gettin a picture of their dicks, because most of the people that ask for dick shots would prefer a picture of a dick just lumped onto a camera, It'll look like a log of dick and they'll be delighted. Hips, breast, stomach, thighs, ass, faces, eyes, pouts, Open mouths, tongue rings, pictures that show what im gettin but some that don't they just show the many sides of that woman, whoever she is, and be Seductive man,Fuck pipe pictures all day long.

If she says no photos at least get the ass shot, tell its for girls gone wild and toss her some beads, Toss money she might smack you and your camera, or take you home.

BTW great photos, Wheres this party Im about to move to that city. Jadira and alot of others, wow.

I have to do something similar in real life & I know what a hassle it is when 80% don't want their pic taken & most of the rest act up for the camera. Plus where you are it's really dark & the flash is disruptive ( I've found Fujipix to be really good in low light situations)

There's no way around using a flash in this situation. I think having a speedlight rather than using an underpowered built-in flash makes a big difference. I'm finding that in a lot of cases shooting with shutter priority and faster speeds (1/800 to 1/2000) yields better results, but this is only doable because I have a speedlight which is TTL synched through the hotshoe.

See the thing i love about Danny's set of pix is that they are all about the girls. Ima be honest, i havent gone to any of the parties in more than a year cuz im not feeling the fact that kilkbott is in there taking pics without me aware of it. Danny's focus is all on the girls. This other guy be taking pix of guys with trannys on their laps and then posting them here. Not cool.

Someone commented that the parties looked "empty", but it's just too hard to BOTH have them look busy but somehow magically not include the guys. So since I try to make sure to frame the shots to keep guys out of the background, they may look like there are less people at an event than there actually are. I end up taking a lot less shots, because there are whole areas of most clubs which I can't/won't shoot in (around the bar usually). That's not to say there are no guys in any of the shots, since I shoot pretty wide angle, but it is very easy to crop out people not directly "in the shot".

It is also the reason there are so few "candids" which people want. Most of the time a candid of a bunch of girls would also include a bunch of guys. And when you are close enough that this isn't the case, the girl won't let you take a candid: they seem to have 360 degree peripheral vision and as soon as you raise your camera, they pose or duck.

I apologize to the guys who have around when I take photos who have been close enough to get in the shots. I try to always crop out anyone who has wandered in. But some guys do it on purpose and then complain: if you see a guy with a camera and a girl posing, don't walk between them if you don't want to end up in a shot. Also don't stand next to the stage and hang out looking out at the world. Whenever I see guys approaching the stage to tip or talk to a dancer, I pull up even if I was about to take a shot. But if a guy stands right by the stage hanging out, I can't take no pictures for the girl's whole set.

Also, giving me the finger doesn't make you less likely to "inadvertently" be included in some shots. (some day I'm going to start a thread "Photos of guys giving me the finger").

I get that. Maybe, though, if you set up a small backdrop with one of those silver umbrella lights you could get the girls to come over for some head shots or posed shots or whatever. Or just go up to the girls and say, "I'm the party photographer, can I grab a couple of shots of you?"

Goodness! Well beggars can't be too choosey I always say. I would gladly look at any hot smoking tgirl pics you shot. Names wouldn't be so easy for me because other than the major super stars I don't know them all by name. Any girls at all will be fine. I would love to see that Kimber James girl smoking (if she smoked that is). I am more interested in real type shots rather than posed for or fake ones. Just knowing she's real life means a little more than she's willing to pose for the picture. thats not to say I don't like or appreciate any of them though. Any girl willing to pose for you and us I guess is very very appreciated by me.
