You're a 90's kid if:

You can finish this lyric; ice ice _ _ _ _

You remember watching:
-Doug
-Big Comfy Couch clock time!
-Ren & Stimpy
-Pinky and the Brain
-AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
-Rockos modern Life.

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiiiiiin west philidelphia born and raised . . ." (i can recite the whole thing!)

You remember:
-TGIF
-Step by Step
-Family Matters
-Dinosaurs
-Boy Meets World.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not

when everyhting was settled by:
-rock paper scissors or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
-daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.

when cops and robbers was a daily activity.

when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

when we used to obey our parents

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.

"Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.

You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular. (HELL YEAH!)

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

You remember watching:
-The Magic School Bus
-Wishbone
-Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where's Waldo books.

You remember eating Warheads.

You remember watching:
-the 1st Batman
-Aladdin
-Ninja Turtles
-3 Ninjas movies.

You remember Ring Pops.

You remember drinking Surge, and Tang.

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

You played and/or collected "Pogs"

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

. . . Furbies.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

Michael Jordan was a king.

YIKES pencils and erasers were the stuff!

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and Talking Elmo were always sold out

You collected those Beanie Babies.

Carebears

Gak was the coolest stuff invented.

Lambchop's song never ended.

The old dollar bills.

Silver dollars, which were cool to have.

You remember a time before the WB.

You collected all the Troll dolls

If you even know what an original walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" . . . enough said

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.

Before the MySpace frenzy . . .

Before the Internet & text messaging . . .

Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .

Before MIKE JONES . . .

Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .

Before Spongebob . . .

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When light up sneakers were cool.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was 0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

When we recorded
stuff on VCRs.

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.

When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do.

You had slap braclets!

Way back.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!

Holy shit! I remember like 95% of that. How old are you, Legend? I'm 24. Sometimes that stuff seemed like a lifetime ago, other times like it was just yesterday.

I think we're the last generation to remember life before computers and internet.

Well I did graduate high school back in 1994, so I remember pretty much everything on this list.

Pogs?? :? I still can't believe I actually tried to collect those!

I still have my Walkman...original headphones and all. And it's not one with a digital radio tuner or auto-reverse.

I still haven't beaten "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on Nintendo...but I beat all of the Super Mario Bros. games (two was my favorite).

NBA Jam was the shit!

I liked "Family Matters"...even before Urkel became the star.

Ren and Stimpy will ALWAYS be cool.

Windows '95 was my first major introduction to computers (I even remember Windows 3.1)

I didn't use Lisa Frank items...but I did have a Trapper Keeper and Pee Chee folders.

And I was more of an MC Hammer fan than Vanilla Ice. U Can't Touch This!

"I Love The Nineties: HA Edition"

Tomfurbs

Oregon Trail!

Most of that list is spot on.

We never had tang over here though.

If there's one thing that sums up being a child in the 90's, it's combat trousers (awful...just awful).

I'm 22 and the 90's seems centuries ago.

I remember those......though lunchables, 3 Ninjas, and Vanilla Ice are things I'd rather not remember.

I also remember when game systems still used cartridges, pro wrestling showed actual matches and rarely showed locker room stuff ( as opposed to today being the opposite ), when guys with 'fro hair styles actually got laughed at, Game Genie, anime was very tricky to find, action figures cost 3 or 4 bucks, no Bushes in the whitehouse, tech support people actually spoke English as their first language, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Gameboys were still black & white, and could not fit in your pocket; Megaman was a robot, Dennis Archer was mayor of Detroit, The Simpsons were not retconing its own history, there was about 3000 Ninja Turtle figures o_o, Play Station 1 was just brand new, Mario and Sonic were rivals, the FCC was not on a decentcy crusade, and yahoo chat was actually fun.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

Oh yeah!!

when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

Haha. This seems to be a worldwide-standard. I used to play this every day, especially in the early 90ies.

when we used to obey our parents.

Hehe, I guess we still do.

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time.

LOL. I was sitting every friday beside the radio to record some tunes from the "Austria Top 40" show on tape. I feel ashamed now.

Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

Ok, he was gay like He-Man but I didnīt miss one episode.

You remember when Super Nintendos and Sega Genisis became popular. (HELL YEAH!)

This was the best thing that ever happened to me. I still own them and remember when I find my old Super Nintento in the basement some years ago. The joysticks still smell from the chips I used to eat when I was 12.

You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.

Yeah, everyone used to own one like women dildos.

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

Fuck, I hated tamagotchis.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.

I had no clue what the internet was until 1999. I was hanging out everyday in the park and playing basketball and soccer. Now, Iīm sitting in front of the PC and getting stupid. I miss the old times.

And Windows 95 was the best.

It still is. Duke Nukem 3D rocked on Windows 95.

Michael Jordan was a king.

Ah my old hero. He still kicks ass and is the unbeaten king.

If you even know what an original walkman is.

My walkman killed all my Austria Top 40 tapes, so I killed him.

You know the Macarena by heart.

Was any girl in the video a tranny?

You know, its fucked up to think about that the 2000s are almost a thing of the past now, as well. Unfortunately, I don't think that there are quite as many great things to look back upon from this decade though. Apart from the post 911, police state America in which most of our Constitutional Bill of rights have been eviscerated and kids can't even have a weekend party now without cops finding out and throwing kids in Jail...

This is a 90's thread, though.

I remember practically everything from all three lists. Born it the late seventies, raised in the 80s, became an man in the 90s.

K.I.T.T. will always be a Firebird to me, not a Mustang.

I still have my Members' Only jacket (it doesn't fit obviously)

I still have my NES...and it's fully operational

Zelda 2: The Legend of Link took awhile to beat, but I did it!

I remember Crystal Pepsi.

I had (and still have) a fanny pack.

My favored method of transportation was my Huffy (not BMX).

I was able to breakdance...including the headspin. I prefered doing the Kick Worm instead.

Speaking of that, I saw all of the Breakin' movies (and Beat Street for that matter)

I remember when Webster burned the apartment playing with "safety" matches

"Jennifer Slept Here"...and I liked "It's A Living". I had a crush on Ann Jillian!

Out here in Los Angeles, I used to shop at Zodys, Gemco, and Fedco (Zodys commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq0C3OUaTow), Gemco commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB_qOg6YBd8) featuring Zenith products (check out the prices!), someone shopping at the old Fedco (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVqHYPSFnsE) on LaCienega and Rodeo Rd)

Actually, around the mid-1990's, there was the Gameboy Pocket, which was a smaller, thinner gameboy. Screen was still black & white, but the screen was larger and cripser....they eliminated the blurr that was infamous on the original.

And then the Gameboy color came out in 1997 or 1998.
