That's been a topic -- girls who are prettier in person -- covered in here extensively. Camera lights, bad angles, glare, et all, can really wreak havoc on a girl's natural soft features. There are many girls from the Los Angeles and San Francisco Eros sites who I've met or seen at Peanuts or the Yukon Mining Company who are simply stunning in person to the point that they almost look like two different people.
