where to go in Hamburg, Germany

I will be in Hamburg, Germany for 3 days in July/August

Can anyone recommend bars or clubs to go to ?

You will want to head for the "Reeperbahn" the touristy red light district and the Tal and Schmuckstrasse. Two side streets which are the haunt of most of the working girls. Have a look at the "Grosse Freiheit" another side street. Avoid the "Monika Bar" at all costs. A clip joint! All these streets form a couple of blocks to the north of the main drag, the "Reeperbahn".

"Taverne" or "Bar Donatella" in Schmuckstr. 5, opens around midnight
-> "Freedom" - in Talstr.,
-> "China Lounge" - on Nobistor - stylish Club with a mixed crowd and up scale TS's
-> "Astoria" - Disco in Silbersackstr. Doesn't open till 5 a.m. mixed & gay crowd with a sprinkling of working TS's after hours. A bit rough!
-> "La Luna" - Talstr., -> "Villa Kunterbunt" - Hamburger Berg - rough, but can be fun with loads of South American girls
