Which NYC party?

Hi there,

I'm a total newbie at this scene, and I've been thinking about going to one of Allanah's NYC parties to see if this is really something I'm into, outside of images and movies.

What's the difference between the weekly/monthly parties? What's the atmosphere like at each of them and which would be the most comfortable for a newbie to fit into and enjoy himself?

The monthly parties are held once a month.
