I agree that the parties are an excellent way for meeting people. Also, it's cool that people are not judged for looks, but for who you are.
It was that way for me when I was at the party, no one judged me for my long hair. I am a confident guy who takes pride on taking care of myself & still look like I'm in my 20's, when actually I am in my mid 40's.

I hope you're not taking this information like an insult of any sort. Most guys I know, even those I imagine who are into t-girls don't really want to go to clubs that appear to be mostly gay. We can dance around the whole "liking t girls thing is gay" and that'll still leave ya with the fact that most dudes who consider themselves straight don't want to go to clubs that may be primarily gay. I parked right across the street, didn't see a single girl outside, but saw a line of dudes all the way to the corner waiting to get in. Perhaps I should've Sherlock Holmes the scene a bit better, but knowing it was pride week and gays were out in huge numbers to celebrate, thought there was a very good chance your party got co-opted and decided to move on. Who knows? maybe you had a bit of a dropoff in attendance last night and knowing my perspective would help explain it to you.
Regardless, I'm not saying you didn't do a good job, only that based on immediate evidence (the number of guys and no girls outside) i saw it didn't look like the best night for a trip inside and that may be a consideration for you at times like pride week or any other major gay celebrations (I don't know if there are any...). That's all, really.

Reason I don't go to Sunny's parties anymore are all of the f*cking cameras all over the damn place. There is absolutely NO camera etiquette at these parties and Sunny does nothing to remedy that. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry's snapping photos of the girls and have no courtesy to ask the guys who are sitting next to them or near them if they mind being in the photo. Then, the photo ends up on this HA website with the most sh*tty pixelated job to try to "disguise" the identities of the men. It's absolutely ridiculous. Sunny, either do something to respect the privacy of your party guests by encouraging respectful use of cameras, or do a better job of disguising the identities of the men when you post the photos to this website! PLEASE!!

I agree with you. So if there's anything I have done which in action is in opposition to this, is makes me a fucking hypocrite, so again, if I owe you an apology, I truly am sorry.


The only thing will ad, however, is that guys who don't want their photos taken should at least help us photographers out a little. For example, last Thursday night, I'm standing on top of a chair (so I'm, sticking out like a sore thumb) and I've got my camera pointed at the dancer on stage. As I'm doing this, a guy who I know doesn't like to appear in any pictures walks around the back of the stage and sits down next to a girl DIRECTLY BEHIND THE DANCER I'VE GOT MY CAMERA POINTED AT. So what am I supposed to do? What goes through my mind is that this guys is not just looking for something to complain about, because he could have been anywhere in the club, but he waited till I was set to take a photo, and then deliberately put himself in the ONE spot in the club where he would get his picture taken if he sat there.

So guys, PLEASE don't stand next to or behind the stage, or if you see a photographer about to take a shot, don't jump in front of them and expect not to get into the shot (also, ducking your head 6 inches as you walk in front of a photographer in the middle of a shot isn't far enough to keep you out).

Maybe not as harsh, but at least give people the right to go to your parties and remain anonymous without having their photo recognizable on this site. Some of us are in difficult personal situations and are not ready or able at this time to have people know our affection for TS. And it's nobody's business, anyway! (That goes to the people who will write, "Well, if you don't want to be 'outed', then don't come to the parties).

I agree with you. So if there's anything I have done which in action is in opposition to this, is makes me a fucking hypocrite, so again, if I owe you an apology, I truly am sorry.


The only thing will ad, however, is that guys who don't want their photos taken should at least help us photographers out a little. For example, last Thursday night, I'm standing on top of a chair (so I'm, sticking out like a sore thumb) and I've got my camera pointed at the dancer on stage. As I'm doing this, a guy who I know doesn't like to appear in any pictures walks around the back of the stage and sits down next to a girl DIRECTLY BEHIND THE DANCER I'VE GOT MY CAMERA POINTED AT. So what am I supposed to do? What goes through my mind is that this guys is not just looking for something to complain about, because he could have been anywhere in the club, but he waited till I was set to take a photo, and then deliberately put himself in the ONE spot in the club where he would get his picture taken if he sat there.

So guys, PLEASE don't stand next to or behind the stage, or if you see a photographer about to take a shot, don't jump in front of them and expect not to get into the shot (also, ducking your head 6 inches as you walk in front of a photographer in the middle of a shot isn't far enough to keep you out).Slinky, thank you for your considerate and well thought-out response. I agree with you when you have a situation where people are "taking photos all over the room". When there are photographers "cross firing" no matter where you stand you're in someone's view, because both sides of the subject are in the other one's background. So one thing I try to do whenever possible is not take photos while anyone else is. I try to let whoever is snapping finish, and wait my turn. This can be difficult because I've have several occasions where I've got a girl off to the side posing for me and some guy steps in between me and the girl who is obviously posing for me. Some people reading this may remember a night where I wasn't so polite to the guy who pulled this shit on me and sent him across the room. (I also think this same guy is one of the owrst perpetrators of what your general complaints are).

I always try if at all possible to have the girls pose either on stage or in front of a wall, column, or such other solid object so that there can't be anyone in the background because the background is cut short. In instances where this isn't possible, I try alternative ways of keeping others out of the shot. For example when girls are dancing on a bar and guys are at the bar, you'll see me standing on top of tables, chairs, speakers and what have you with my camera as far above my head as I can get it (yeah, I know I short so that still isn't that high.....) so that I'm shooting on the same level as the girls are at, rather than up and having to go through the guys at the bar to get the girls.

I may be biased on this next point so take it for what it is worth: you may find is that it's more often the girls who are using pocketbook point and shoot cameras who are more indiscriminate about shooting in the middle of the room and disregarding the background. There have been many times where I've had girl shooting photos of each other and then seeing me they ask for me to snap some photos, and when I ask them to move to a different location (i.e. one where the background is more under control) they won't or can't understand why when they've just snapped a whole bunch in that same location.

I'm sorry if any of the above sounds like I'm making excuses, because I'll say again that I agree with you that I don't think any guy who doesn't want his photo published at these events shouldn't have to deal with it. In fact, when girls come up to me and ask me to take a pic of them with a guy, I make sure he is aware that his picture is being taken and he's ok with it (just happened tonite: I asked the guy 3 times before taking the shot, with the girl yelling at me the whole time "Just take it, just take it, just take it").
