We're expecting 9"-10" here in north central Mass. I grew up in Maine and have lived in Colorado and the UP of Michigan (Copper Country), so I know from snow!

Walking to work this morning was beautiful. About 3" of
squeeky white packing snow underfoot but now at 1:30pm
it's started raining and from what I hear it's going to rain/sleet
all night and probably we will lose this snow in a day. :(

The combination of the full moon, lunar eclipse and the snow
late last night was incredible.

coldest day of the winter here was like a week and a half ago, with wind chill we got down to -40 - -50 degrees, and on top of that it was snowing then too, and then the next day we got a nice surprise.......freezing rain, it really sucks when you have to pry your car doors open with a crowbar lol

Danny, a TG friend of mine came to Boston a few years back during a major snowstorm. I called her before she left to warn her, telling her we've got 18". She just laughed and said, "That's OK, I'm got 6 and a half."

Well it was different here today. Idaho snowed a bit but it was the first time you could actually see the road, and not the 2 inch layer of ice on top of it, in front of my house.

when you are used to hearing cabs, police cars, helicopters, airplanes, etc. and it starts snowing hard and you go outside in one of the largest cities in the world and everything is dead quiet it's strange..................

For what it's worth, JWBL Sackett, I was pretty thrilled with the way it was coming down in Boston this evening. Beautiful. The sort of snowfall that lets you examine a single snowflake on your glove while things are eerily quiet-- even as your eyebrows get all iced over in the storm.
